Universal Pictures has released a restricted teaser trailer for American Reunion, one last hurrah from the cast of the American Pie films. The teaser indicates that they are going with the same formula, including Jason Biggs’ penchant for fornicating with inanimate objects. Universal releases the film April 6, 2012. Allyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Eugene Levy are also back in the fold.

Oh lighten up you pretentious snobs. The original 3 American Pie films are loved by most 30 somethings like myself. Turn your nose up at it if you will, nobody cares about your worthless opinion. Especially when the creators are laughing all the way to the bank upon it’s 30+ million opening weekend.
Also the cast is not all has beens. Sean William Scott has been a consistent major studio headliner in comedies over the last 10 years. Also Hannigan has starred in a top rated sitcom for quite some time now.

With the right marketing this is going to make tons of cash – pretty much every 30something out there remembers that summerly “Pie” feeling from a decade ago. Seeing these beloved characters come together again… it’s weird, since all our lifes moved on. Many of us have kids now. Jobs. College is far away.
