A new trailer is up for In The Land Of Blood And Honey, the film written and directed by Angelina Jolie. A love story framed in the backdrop of the Bosnian War, the film is Jolie’s narrative feature directorial debut. It will be released December 23 by FilmDistrict.

Oh wow! The movie looks good! Its dramatic and moving! Angelina is amazing.
It needs to be good after Salt & Tourist.
SALT was a hit, and the sequel’s already been greenlit. And I’m sure Angelina’s crying all the way to Left Bank over the mediocre reviews it got.
For a first time writer/director, Blood & Honey looks awesome. Heck, it looks pretty darn good for a seasoned director.

Impressive storytelling by Jolie for her writing and directing debut. It’s a moving and beautifully filmed and edited trailer whose storyline maintains substance and keeps the viewers interests throughout. The actors were impressive as well, particularly Goran Kostic appearing here as the male lead. I’m interested to see more if their performances and the entirety of Jolie’s storytelling.

As for ‘cash grab’, this movie is just a means to an end – I’m sure she’s getting good money out of this one way or another, and surely it’s getting her into the DGA (heaven help us) and we’ll be subjected to her filmmaking a la Madonna’s when the mood hits her. What does she care if it makes big box office? This is, as you say, an ego trip. The proof? If she really cared about telling this story, she would have done a cameo or something in the movie so her fans would go see it, and let a real director who knows what he/she is doing craft the movie in the first place. And plants, please save your breath – I’m not a Jolie-hater, just a film lover, and this film looks like a PASS all around.
Those “plants” you talk about number in the millions and always support ANY project of hers. Never underestimate the power of “the Jolie”.

On point, the trailer looks incredibly intense and moving. The score sounds wonderful if that’s really from the movie and the male and female leads are quietly powerful. I am worried it may be a really painful film to watch but the topic is very worthy and should be seen.
Really wanna see this movie. The footage is beautiful if not heart wrenching. I hope it does well.
