• I’m not a Seth MacFarlane fan. I’ve never even seen Family Guy. (True story.) But I would like to make a comment to those who talk about his giant ego. Do you think someone can become successful like he has without being confident and prepossessing? No. That’s how you get there. So if you’re not interested in people with that kind of ego, you shouldn’t be hanging around a Hollywood industry site.

  • I have no idea whether Seth has an ego. But to give the free pass to people who become successful just because they’re successful is to discount the myriad of reasons that people find success. It’s one thing to understand eccentric genius and appreciate the person who sticks to his guns, creatively, but it’s another to be an asshole apologist.

  • A lot of people make it in this business without adopting an elitist attitude. You make a good point that success requires a strong ego, but MacFarlane’s always seems of a different type, more obnoxious than most.

• They sound awful. Please don’t insult Martin and Sinatra. Neither can sing. Macfarlane thinks he can but his voice has no heart. I love it…seth and maher also share a girlfriend. supposedly mahr and macfarlane are great friends. Maher dated cara santa maria…a young hollywood bimbo and suddenly Macfarlane is dating her. Is she a beard and trying to cover up for both or is their no honor among thieves in Hollyweird? Both huge, arrogant, psuedo intellectuals that think they know it all. They’ve both tried to tell the middle-class that they don’t know what’s in their best interest when they vote for a republican…I agree, but, the democrats are no better. Both parties bought and paid for by special interests. I actually think Mahr can be funny when he’s not trying to be a socialist and i used to love Family Guy. This season both shows kinda stink. Me thinks both guys have gotten too big for their britches.

• Wow, no shortage of bitter wannabees in Hollywood. Can’t a successful talented artist have some fun without being vilified? Seth is a vocal artist testing his chops with music he loves. BFD! He has the money to support his hobbies so let him have it. However, not sure what he smoked to make him wanna subject his partygoers to Bill Maher’s vocal stylings. Good way to clear out the place.
