NBC has bought two more single-camera comedy projects: Life As I Blow It, from Chelsea Lately and After Lately writer-panelist Sarah Colonna, and Satellites, a workplace comedy from Weeds writer-producer Stephen Falk.
Life As I Blow It is based on Colonna’s upcoming book and follows Colonna and her life in the Midwest surrounded by eccentric friends and family whose opinions and actions know no boundaries. Happy Madison and Sony TV are producing along with Colonna’s management company New Wave Entertainment, Lunch Bag Snail Prods and Universal TV. Colonna will write the script and executive produce with Danielle Sanchez, who will supervise, Doug Robinson, Abbey MacDonald, Michael Pelmont and Brian Volk Weiss. APA-repped Colonna recently performed on the Comedians of Chelsea Lately tour.
Satellites is set in the chaotic world of satellite radio and centers around a former reluctant ’90s boy-band member and a female blogger/podcaster who co-host a relationship call-in show. They must contend not only with their loaded animosity for each other but also the insanity of working in the new world of radio — where the hip-hop station is across the hall from the gay station, which is next door to the nothing-but-windchimes station. ICM-repped Falk is currently a supervising producer on Weeds and previously developed musical comedy Timing with Weeds creator Jenji Kohan at Showtime.

There’s not gonna be anyone left to sit on Chelsea’s panel. Well, there’s always Brad Wollack, he’s not going anywhere.
Ha!
I LOVE Sarah Colonna and can’t wait to see a show all about her!
I just want to see all of Sarah Colonna. lol
Candidly, she is so attractive to me.
There is also something behind those eyes that says, Harriet Nelson in the daytime, Tracey Lords at night.
Awesome combination!
A beautiful woman with a quick sense of humor, what a combo!
Good luck Sarah, I hope you realize all your dreams…
Funny, nobody would look at Sarah Colonna until Chelsea became her friend. I mean nobody. I just hope she hasn’t been fooled by her currently people to thinking they really like her. They don’t. They got involved because Chelsea was involved and they smelled an opportunity. Otherwise they would never look twice at Sarah. BTW, Sarah is a nice person.
Thank you, Joe B., for at least spelling my last name correctly.
Dear Brad,
I am the new head of programming for McDonald’s TV. We feel you have certain attributes that would lend themselves to the kind of programming we are looking to do. Assuming your hair is real and not dyed, we’d love to sit down soon and spitball some ideas.
Kind regards,
Mayor McCheese
Sorry it said comment required but i just wanna say “No comment.”
just a joke but congrats to Sarah Colonna. She is one of my favorites on Chelsea Lately
This goes to prove Chelsea Handler has proven to know great talent when she sees it. Several who’ve frequented the Round Table have launched series. Congrats Sarah!!
Sarah Colonna is my favorite on the show! This is so great for her!
Congrats on your success Sarah. You’re a funny and hardworking woman and your talent has been recognized.
love her. this is wonderful, all the talent that’s coming out of Chelsea’s family. Being funny is such a gift!
Where is NBC going to put all of these comedies that their picking up lately?
I’m so happy for Sarah and everyone @ chelsea lately!! They seem like family and I wish nothing but the best that comes there way!!
Really Happy for Sarah Colonna! She is super funny and self deprecating! I think she will be better received that Whitney and Natasha Leggero. Watch Chelsea Lately. it is a hotbed of talent. Next up Loni Love and Ben Gleib and someone needs to get Dan Levy on a show.
Anonymous, I saw Sarah do stand up years ago. She’s been at it a long time. Did you ever think that Chelsea’s show was just the break she needed for people to see her talent? I think it works like that for many, just like nobody knew Chelsea until E gave her a chance. I see Sarah’s show is not even produced by Chelsea’s company, so it looks like she’s working on stuff on her own too. I think it’s great!
I hope Chelsea’s comediennes are funnier than she is cuz the $173.00 I paid to see her in Orlando was a rip…..for that kind of money at least I thought there would be some titty….
