Once again NBC will be launching a reality series as a strip during the holiday season in December. Following in the footsteps of Deal Or No Deal, Clash Of The Choirs and The Sing-Off, new trivia competition show Who’s Still Standing? will premiere on Monday, December 19 as a weeklong strip, airing through Thursday, December 22 (each night at 8-9 PM ET). On December 26, the series will move to its regular Monday 8-9 PM slot, where it will air through January 30. NBC had previously announced that the revamped Fear Factor, which launches on December 12, will bridge The Sing-Off and The Voice with two-hour editions on Monday from 8-9 PM. The reality competition will now go down to an hour starting December 19. “This family-friendly series is perfect programming for the holiday season,” NBC’s alternative chief Paul Telegdy said of Who’s Still Standing? “The compelling and fresh format features the best elements of a classic trivia match combined with physical comedy, providing an intense competition that can be enjoyed by all ages.” Hosted by Ben Bailey (Cash Cab), the new series is based on the hit Israeli format Still Standing, which offers contestants the opportunity to win up to $1 million while competing in head-to-head trivia battles. The series had its global premiere on Israel’s Channel 10 in December 2010.

Is the loser forced to marry a Kardashian?
I wouldn’t want to be one of the losers then! Ha
I saw the sneak peek last night, the game show doesn’t look too bad. NBC might be making a comeback for the New Year!
it’s not a reality, it’s a game show.

The strategy of running a game show as a strip over Xmas was so successful for Fox with Million-Dollar Money Drop that NBC can’t help but to copy it. Geniuses!
Should be called is NBC still standing
Israel has become the new U.K. as far as formats and scripted is concerned. It would be nice if these development folks would take chances on US producers and their paper formats/concepts. But they are cowards.
Agree 100%. Unless you’re the offspring of a celebrity, Average Joe’s who create fresh, easy to understand and bankable TV show concepts via outlines get no attention!
I’ve had seven of my TV concepts place in a well known and respected TV writing contest and no producers put in the time to consider them! Yet they keep making retread cooking, singing and “trivia” game shows! Give new ideas a chance, producers!
After this NBC won’t be standing lol silly bastards
The show will probably totally stink, but it’s cheap programming. And if by some chance it takes off (not at all likely but not impossible), NBC really wins. So it’s actually pretty good strategy.
I couldn’t wait for Who’s Still Standing? to debut, and I can’t wait to debut now!! This may put NBC on top (of course w/ The Voice and the new Fear Factor). I will watch when it debuts.
I don’t see why everyone’s hating so bad. This show sounds like a good time
This show looks hilarious! Trivia is fun already, and add people falling through a trap door with horrified looks on their faces!? Sounds like good TV to me! NBC may have finally made a good game show!
I’m not too sure about this show, but I might just give a try. I guess I’ll go from there, I mean I saw Ben Bailey on Cash Cab a couple times and he wasn’t too bad. I think he made the show, maybe he pulls through with this one as well. I guess I’ll just find out, I’ll let you know how the show turns out!
