It was busy day for renewals and cancellations. Two more that happened this afternoon: Fox has officially ordered a ninth season of summer staple So You Think You Can Dance, and Adult Swim committed to a second season of NTSF:SD:SUV::
Despite sliding in the ratings this past summer, So You Think You Can Dance still ranked as No. 1 in its time period among adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and teens. It was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment and dick clark productions.
Returning for a second season of 15-minute cop procedural parody NTSF:SD:SUV:: are creator/star/executive producer Paul Scheer, executive producers Jonathan Stern and Curtis Gwinn and the series’ cast. Production on Season 2 will begin in early 2012. The first-season finale airs tonight at 12:15 AM. NTSF:SD:SUV::, also known as the National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle::, is a clandestine team of government agents working together to protect San Diego from numerous terrorist threats coming in daily from such evil countries as Mexico, Canada and Guam. The series stars Scheer, Rebecca Romijn, Rob Riggle, Kate Mulgrew, Brandon Johnson, June Diane Raphael, Martin Starr and sentient robot S.A.M. (voiced by Peter Serafinowicz). Scheer is repped by UTA and Principato-Young, Stern is repped by Principato-Young and Gwinn is repped by the Rothman-Brecher Agency and Principato-Young.

Awesome news! NTSF is hilarious!
Could not be more excited that NTSF is getting another season — the brains behind it and Childrens Hospital produce some of the most consistently funny and inventive material on TV these days.
Not surprised about the SYTYCD pickup, but I hear across the board reality series are down overall. Not surprised. There are a zillion of them….
Haven’t seen the other show but the title is funny..NTSF:SD:SUV
I didn’t like NTSF that much. But as long as Adult Swim continues renewing Childrens Hospital then they are cool with me. It’s one of the best comedies around.
Maybe if they would get rid of Mary Murphy and her annoying laughing & screaming SYTYCD would do better. She needs to get on the train to unemployment This seasons dances weren’t as good as in previous seasons – too much emphasis on hip hop
NTSF is a bad show. I love Children’s Hospital and like Eagleheart but this show is just not worth it.
Bad acting from everyone except Romijn and occasional guest actors (John Cho, Adam Scott for example), bad writing, one good joke pro episode but it’s repeated 5-6 times. Annoying characters: Martin Starr who plays himself, Dull black guy and brunette who look like they come from Collegehumor or Funnyordie. Scheer’s over-the-top character is ok for a one time short but not for a regular basis.
Just bad. Amateurs could do better. Deserves to get cancelled
To every NTSF-related thing you’ve said: NO. Show is hilarious.
