• these 2 are extraordinary! simply wow. so hard to get anything done in this town and they continue to do it season after season and make it look easy. it’s amazing. must be in the genes.

  • Hasn’t it pretty much already happened? Repeatedly? Adults 18-49 love CBS, kids love Disney and Nick.

    Also “Better With You” was quite a good little show by the end (if nothing exceptional), but in general I agree that Friends writers don’t have a track record. ABC and NBC would be better off pulling a writer off one of their single-cam hits and asking for a multi-cam.

  • So old = lame.

    The truth is there isn’t the pool of actors out there currently that can make a multi-camera comedy work. ‘Cuz it’s hard to do.

    When it’s done well there’s nothing better on TV.

    And CLARA, I think you’re lame.

• Expect to see another half-assed, stale comedy with retread jokes from failed 80′s sitcoms. Cancelled before it even get started just like every new show on ABC this fall.

• YAY!!! I think ABC is the best place for this show! It just needs to be treated right and get higher ratings than Better with You. CBS has too high of expectations for comedies, so I’m glad it landed at ABC. This duo is great and I hope this show becomes a HUGE HIT. BIGGER THAN MODERN FAMILY!

• Friends was about the vision of David Crane and Marta Kauffman.
  Let’s be honest: since it went off the air all the lesser Friends writers have been on a wild binge to ruin television comedy.
  I’m not saying Shana isn’t a good writer, but she’s not a good creator. Her pilots have been bad (though miles and miles better than those Ted Cohen and Andrew Reich have done).

  • wrong FW, friends was about Warner Bros. vision of taking a successful urban format (living single) and applying it to a broader (white) audience. marta and david just got the credit and a lot more money than Yvette Bowser. but that was probably karma in action.

• Confused – I completely agree that this seems completely wacky that ABC is making a huge commitment to these two when they just FAILED last year. And “Better With You” had a great time slot, right before Modern Family.

  Shana has been a failure machine as a developer. She created and ran “Joey” for three years as it was panned universally by critics and viewers. “Better With You” had all the opportunities in the world, and failed.

  Why networks rush for a project with these auspices is unimaginable.

• Shanna can not create a show. “Joey” and whatever show she had on ABC last year. Her charectors she creates are flat. She can produce a show but please dear god don’t let her near a keyboard
