So funny….The black experience is a disaster movie……
Not from the US. Can’t view it.
What does the dude say?
Unlike SNL, Perry writes TV shows that are funny.
oh, geez, where are they? i don’t understand, if he has good shows, why only the crap he created on tbs? (meet the browns or house of payne)
Because they offered him syndication and a 90 episode pickup after the first 10. He owns a much bigger piece of the show and can make exponentially more money that way.
Verrry funny! But true!
SNL has always treated black culture as an alien phenomenon.
+1 Usually hollywood is quick to replicate something successful. For example superhero movies make money, well then lets make more superhero movies. The past 5 years have seen an onslaught of movies. Same thing with TV with cop and doctor shows. But when it comes to making diverse films or putting money into developing a good show starring characters there’s always this hesitation and what if’s. I don’t care to much for Tyler Perry’s movies but the guy is keeping Lionsgate afloat all by himself. Imagine if the studios put more effort in more diverse movies.
BTW – That SNL skit was funny. As usual.
SNL had an opportunity to be edgy and funny doing a bit on TP, as usual they missed
totally agree i’ve been a fan of tyler perry before he was a household name….and that was a waste of tv space
i applaud tyler perry on all his success. but i watched ‘why did i get married’ and it was – not good! at all!
My Future husband!
No, he’s my husband! Buy a clue.
That was pretty hilarious.
This was not an original skit. It was a retread of one they did about Tyler Perry a while ago. They could have just replayed the last one.
You speak the truth.
That was pretty funny. Lighthearted and somewhat true.
@ Grayce, Tyler Perry will not be your future husband unless you are a man named Grayce and gay marriage is legalized in the state of Georgia. Open your eyes [presumed woman]
