… and that’s what passes for talent in Hollywood these days. Thank you for convincing me to read more books. I despise nearly everyone in that video. The ex-president included.
Even though I don’t like their politics I thought it was funny. Did Matt Damon have head lice?
He had to shave his head for Neil Blomkamp’s new sci fi film, Elysium.
If you despise everyone in the video, why’d you watch it?
Perhaps you should have cracked open that book a bit sooner.
Key word here is “nearly,” you moron.
Yes, it would have so much better with newer talent, like Josh Duhamel, or Kat Dennings. Those people at that table were so inferior.
Chill The F*** Out. A little light hearted self deprecation is always good. Takes the wind out of those folk who do take themselves a little too seriously as well. Can you think of who I mean?> Can ya?
That was pathetic.
honestly, not funny…
This was incredibly unfunny. The only thing that could have made it funny was Dave Franco.
I knew that’s how it would end but i still laughed anyway.
Well that was funny and interesting to watch. The biggest surprise here for me was Sean Penn. I didn’t thought he could do some comedy sketch. Dude is so serious and HBIC all the time. I didn’t thought he has it in him
But there he was whining about his launch. When he opened his mouth I thought he will give another politician speech.
Watch the movie “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” for Penn at his (intentionally) funniest
The reason I’ve stopped going to Hollywood trash in the past year is Crap like this. It saves me a lot of time and money.I wonder if Jack Black can tie the latest Box office bomb, in which he’s appearing, to his outspoken liberal nonsence? His silly meandering about “having dinner” with Obama on a Late Night talk show made up my mind to not see this latest movie or any others he appears in. It was an expensive “fund raiser” stupid.
I thought it was pretty funny. Damon and Penn were great.
Good sports. Well done.
Horrible. I just wasted my time watching that crap.
Whatever peeps.
For the most part, that was funny.
Remember to smile out there.
Blech.
That was more painless than I thought it would be, but the video would have worked so much better at half the length – say, a running time of two and a half minutes. Why do these sketches always have to drag? All that dead air negates the genuinely amusing moments. Does anyone really thing this thing works at close on six minutes?
Great ending, but tough to sit through the first couple of mins.
not funny.
Awesome.
Come on!
What a bunch of Donnie and Debbie Downers you all seem to be.
We all know (or think we know) how self-absorbed and oblivious to the outside world “Hollywood types” are.
Good for this group to poke fun at themselves and provide a little humor as a side benefit.
Isn’t there enough gloom and doom in the country (and World) right now without disparaging ANY attempt to lighten things up a bit.
Geesh!
Sean Penn is missing his real calling. He needs to play men who have their lunch stolen on a regular basis. Funny stuff.
what is wrong with everyone? it’s funny. it’s a sketch not high brow political humor. good for the actors for having some fun.
I don’t work in Hollywood, but I do visit Deadline occasionally. Although I never comment here, I feel compelled to do so given the negative responses to this video. Guys, this sketch WAS funny. I’m a regular Joe with above average intelligence and I was amused. Maybe Hollywood has made you cynical or you hate the actors or you simply thought it was stupid, but I did not. I found it smart and highly entertaining. Before you trash me for being an uninformed idiot (yes, I know it was basically an advertisement), just take a second to absorb what I’m saying. People like me enjoy material like this and would like to see more of it on TV or in movies. Funny or Die has more hits than misses and those of you working to entertain folks like me should take notice.
Yeah, not sure how this “explains why non-liberal America hates Hollywood”…I mean, I’m a pretty right-of-center guy with plenty of issues with Hollywood and whatnot, but this was pretty funny.
I guess maybe it was dumbed down so my hick backwater conservative pea-brain would get it. I dunno.
Yeah – stupid hollywood celebrities supporting efforts to raise living standards in developing countries.
Santa Claus sucks too.
I love it how the majority of the people posting about this video completely miss the point. Kinda makes YOU the joke
pathetic, not funny…..who are you people? Probably the same old people that yell at other peoples little children while they’re playing and having fun at a pool while you are trying to relax.
The fact that any of you would watch that entire video and still write that it is pathetic and unfunny….is well, pathetic.
One of you wrote you hate everyone in the video…penn, fine. Spacey, fine. Black, i get it, Clinton…sure but what kind of miserable person are you that you HATE BOTH Ben Stiller AND Matt Damon…..you are truly the pathetic one.
That was seriously dumb. But the best part is the liberals in the video don’t even realize they’ve truly removed the veil of their idiocy! That was laughable!!!
