    • I never write bad things on this site, but I am sorry. This script is horrible. The first clue was the cover page has about 15 writers listed, due to the amount of rewrites. And the end is a lame/boring mess, that is neither for kids or adults. Completely baffled when I read it. Who sees this? (And I have no connection to this production in its success or failure.)

• The script is laugh-out-loud funny. Plenty smart, but really absurd. If anything, Buscemi is in danger of being eclipsed by Carrell and Carrey.

• A comedy starring Silverman & Carell? With talent like this, it matters not as to how well written the script is or how skilled the director may be – this film will flop.

• Horrible script. Truly. Anyone who read the version they have now and liked it, has zero taste.

  Of course, it’s always easy for agents and actors to like a ‘go’ movie as there are so few of them these days.
  People need to get paid.

  But man, what amateur material….

• This is why reboot-redos rule the spreadsheet! To cap it @ $30m with Carell and Carrey, they know this ORIGINAL story will tank. By adding Silverman they’ve turned the project into a real world version of THE PRODUCERS.

  • Agreed. It’s a really clever script, Carell is NOBODY’s fool, neither is Carrey for that matter – leave it alone. At least it’s original and not some remake or sequel – And man, some very cool casting ideas. Gandolfini? Silverman? Buschemi? C’mon.

• Another remake – Hollywood is unable to make anything original!?! An original script about Las Vegas magicians – must be crap. Writers of Horrible Bosses which was pretty funny AND did well. What the hell is wrong with you people?? I think I’ll trust Carell, Buscemi and Carrey’s taste over the most likely tasteless Mary Jane, Lisa, and Scott J.
