NBC’s primetime newsmagazine Rock Center With Brian Williams, which is set to premiere on Halloween, is getting the word out via some short promos. This one introduces the show’s contributors — and one who didn’t quite make the cut. Williams has always been good at letting his sense of humor show. Let’s see if his show carries the same light touch amid all those hard-news stories.

Does anyone know what went down between Stefon and Seth Meyers last summer? Did they break up?
Wonder how long it’ll take for the rock to crumble.
It’s going up against “Castle” and “5-0″ so who the fuck cares. Like most NBC shows it’ll be lucky if it gets 4 million veiwers, plus news mags are cheap to make.
This isn’t a very good promo. It’s a little too cute and “inside” for the general public. This almost looks like an ad for SNL than anything. It certainly won’t compel me to check it out, because it says nothing about the show, or even that there is a show.
I agree. It’s not very good. I think their promo department has lost their way. Perhaps a little creative cleaning house is in order. Worst ratings in years can’t be completely attributed to bad programming. Every network has awful shows, including NBC. Past years at NBC were arguably worse for programming, but had better ratings. Does this mean that the advertising is to blame? Jury is still out, but I’m inclined to think so.
If this show fails, I blame the promos. News shows can typically bring in a guaranteed audience, and I suspect this one won’t
Nice googles tan Brian. Seriously dude, take a day off from the tanning bed.
This is the greatest promo since the CHIPS promo launch in 1977.
