Fox used its World Series platform last night to debut the first promo for Season 11 of American Idol, which features the judges walking around town collecting potential contestants for auditions (The network’s ratings juggernaut returns to the air January 22). So what’s with singing-competition judges and walking? Remember The X Factor‘s promo that debuted during the summer’s baseball All-Star Game?

Has this show not learned its lessons? STOP making this about the judges and host and make it more about the contestants or people are going to be turned off to this bigtime. That’s what hurt this show 2 years ago with the awful judges they had on there and the show became all about them, losing its primary focus and ratings.
Walking around town….you mean the Universal backlot…..
Wow! That was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
