EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed James Caan, and will help the veteran actor step it up. Caan has the film Detachment coming out in February of 2012, co-starring Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Adrien Brody and Blythe Danner. Caan had most recently been repped by Paradigm.

The worst, and one of the most unpleasant, actors I have ever worked with. He butchered the script overnight, then butchered his own lines as we shot. We had to remove most of his performance in post because it was un-watchable.
I had the pleasure of working with Caan a number of years ago and he was the exact opposite of the description above. He was fun, friendly respectful and very nice to those around him.

DETACHMENT is awesome–a brilliant film and Caan is great in it. You should also mention that DETACHMENT is the new movie directed by TONY KAYE, who last made AMERICAN HISTORY X (and also the excellent doc LAKE OF FIRE). Tony Kaye is a genius!!!
