CBS Films announced today that it will release its airplane thriller 7500 on August 31, 2012. The Grudge helmer Takashi Shimizu is set to direct the story of a group of passengers who encounter what appears to be a supernatural force while on a transpacific flight. Craig Rosenberg (Lost) wrote the screenplay for the film, which begins shooting this month. We reported Tuesday that Leslie Bibb, Ryan Kwanten and Amy Smart will star in the film; since then, Jamie Chung, Christian Serratos and Scout Taylor-Compton have been added to the cast.

Shimizu and a not-ugly cast. Hell yes!
Terrible script. Really awful. CBS, what are you thinking?
Actually I thought the script was pretty cool. A commercial genre thriller. CBS might clean up on this one… the more success places like CBS, New Line, Lionsgate have, the more opportunities there are for writers, directors, actors etc…
Leslie Bibb and Amy Smart !!! I”ll watch for sure as they are both beautiful and talented.
I’m in. Love me some Kwanten!
A shocking level of un-originality.
Honestly, all these retread stories and remakes : are we truly seeing The End of Creativity? Has the imagination of man reached its limits?
Great script. Sold cast… sold!
God, I love Amy Smart and wish she could find a breakout vehicle. But this idea was done with Shatner on an ABC MOW around 1975.
Fun cast! Can’t wait to watch.
