EXCLUSIVE: Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski has been set for the female lead in I, Frankenstein. She’ll star opposite Aaron Eckhart, playing his love interest, a beautiful and gifted scientist. Stuart Beattie is directing and wrote the script based on the Kevin Grevioux graphic novel. The movie’s being produced by Hopscotch Features in partnership with Lakeshore Entertainment. Strahovski is repped by IFA, McKeon/Myones Entertainment and Sue Barnett & Associates.

Curious… the film is being shot in Melbourne. She is an Australian actress (Stuart Beattie is also Australian). In order to obtain the state and federal tax rebates in Australia, the production has to have sufficient component of Australian talent and crew driving the production.
So what? It’s not like they’re forced to hire subpar actors. Australia has plenty of talent, include Yvonne.

Being a Sydneysider doesn’t lessen the fact that she is even more talented than she is beautiful, as hard as that is to be believed. If AII helped her clinch the role than great for AII but I seriously doubt if she really needed any such help.
