Deadline Hollywood won honors for Best Online News Story (Nikki Finke, Pete Hammond) and Best Entertainment Website (The Deadline Team) and Best Entertainment Publication (Deadline: The Emmy Awards Editions – Nikki Finke, Nellie Andreeva, Pete Hammond with contract freelancers Ray Richmond and Diane Haithman) at the fourth annual National Entertainment Journalism Awards from the Los Angeles Press Club last night. In fact, Deadline Hollywood won or was honored or was a finalist in all of the very few categories we entered, including Entertainment Journalist Of The Year (Nellie Andreeva). Deadline Hollywood beat its business competition in every online category entered. Editor-in-Chief and Founder Nikki Finke won Best Online News Story for her reporting on the Conan O’Brien/Jay Leno/Jeff Zucker/Tonight Show stalemate. The judge’s comments were: ”Nikki Finke raises the bar on 24/7 Internet reporting of showbiz… tirelessly filing multiple real-time updates of behind-the-scenes details with knowledgeable analysis.“
