• I will miss Regis…He seems like one of the real class acts in TV that no one has anything bad to say about. (Gloria Estefan who I worked with once seems another down to earth person)..ANyway, he did admit last night on the Katie special that it was partly about $$. THR report said he was getting $21 million a year for the daytime show…that just seems unbelievable. I hope t hey find the right person to go with Kelly, who must’ve gotten a huge bump in salary to continue. Hard to imagine Rege is 80 – and it gives us all hope that he started this show in his 50s

• There is certainly no love lost between Regis and Iger. Iger used his every word to slam poor Reege. Iger was veiling his venom in the spirit of “love” as Regis shoved him off. Iger called him ” difficult”. They owe Regis a lot more than a plaque. They didnt even name the studio after him. Anyone with their eyes open could see what was really happening! In the end after the stardom, the public adulation and the salary poor Regis was reduced to nothing but a rank and file employee being shown the door.

• I think what is really amazing is Kelly Ripa reportedly makes 20 million a year. For one hour a day of television. Matt Lauer doesn’t make that for three hours or so a day, and he actually prepares.

  I think the real story is . . . Regis had it in his contract he had to make more than his female partner. Disney was about to flip that, and pay Kelly more, while reducing Regis’ salary on the pretense he took too many days off.

  Regis couldn’t abide that. I hope they move to CA so Joy can be near her children and grandchildren. Good luck Regis. You will be missed.

• Money grubbling jerks. Kelly Rippa is so white trash, she hit the lottery because of him and should have done the right thing. You could tell Regis was MISERABLE in the last show with all these people putting daggers in him. Shame on Bob Iger. I hope they put your face on a door mat when you vacate the building.

• How about a thank you to Jim Griffin. Jim raised Regis from local guy to television hero. Jim had to to his best to keep Regis from stepping on his own toes. We love you, Jim! We know how great you did.

• Regis ia the best. Remember watching him with Cindy Garvey in his early days in L.A.. to now. He’s a class act and an entertainment icon. He’ll go down in history as being one of the true greats. Go Regis…hope we see you soon!
