It looks like Fox has officially pulled the plug on sketch comedy series In The Flow With Affion Crockett after a low-rated summer run. The project, executive produced by Jamie Foxx, was picked up straight-to-series and originally slated for midseason. It was pushed a couple of times until it finally launched in mid-August, drawing a 1.0-1.2 demo rating for its first season. The move comes a couple of days after Fox closed a deal to bring back its signature 1990s sketch comedy series In Living Color.

I must have blinked.

See, that’s the real truth. FOX just don’t care about comedy anymore, and really didn’t see much commercials to promote the show.
Just goes to show the sad state of the industry…a truly funny, original, and fresh show gets cancelled!!! They barely even got to scratch the surface of all the Rapping-Obama and “Black Guys Do This…” gold mines.
Truly a shame.
Thr truth of the matter is, the show simply wasn’t good. It was unfunny at best.
Addison Crockett is occasionally funny in his YouTube clips. Occasionally. His Tim Westwood/Drake interview is darned near genius, but outside of that, he is not that funny a comedian, so to hang a whole series on him seemed like a long shot from the jump.
I understand the networks trying to find the next Chappelle Show, but the fact of the matter is, we NEVER find the classic shows, they kind of just ‘happen’ and find us.
…because I missed it and I never heard of it.

Yes Coat, we get you… You are VERY CLEVER.
I’m meh on Crockett, but seems like Fox screwed him. I remember when the show was announced, but never saw a single ad for it show and didn’t even know it had aired until this moment.
You must not watch tv cause I saw advertising.
FYI: “Addison” is what you get when you type ‘Affion’ into an iPhone with a silly spellcheck!
I’ve never even hear of this before, so I guess that means I won’t miss it.
I think the real news here is that Fox had a show called “In The Flow With Affion Crockett”.
Ive never even heard of this show!!
Here’s an idea: Move the show to My Network TV, maybe the ratings will be better…
Sorry, Affion. I actually watched an episode of your show and liked portions of it. But I found the humour uneven. Maybe if Fox had given you some more time, the show would have found its rhythm. On the other hand, I think I saw only one ad for this show, so it was obvious that Fox was not really supportive of your efforts.
Why don’t you see if Keenan is hiring?
Didn’t even know this was on the air and now it’s off…oh well.
How can a person watch as much television as I do and be completely unaware of a show’s existence and/or subsequent cancellation?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but how cab you be “completely unaware of a show’s existence and/or subsequent cancellation” when you just acknowledged both, ESPECIALLY the cancellation….
Because he read this post, genius.
Way to go Todd Yasui! Another hit on his hands!! The only hit he was ever involved in was Mad TV and he was responsible for its demise. Gotta love Hollywood!
Todd Yasui must be related to someone. He’s never had any success…only failures….and manages to stab good people in the back along the way.
Thank god. This show was so annoyingly bad and completely unfunny. Fox definitely made the right call here.
Does this mean there won’t be any pick up after the two ‘In Living Color’ test runs next year? KIW better come up with two blockbuster episodes. He’s probably already negotiating with Damon Sr., Carrey, Grier, even Davidson.
Would Affion Crockett lasted longer on BET
That’s sad. This show was funny and had potential to be good.
This may be the most disappointing programming decision Fox has made since they canceled Arrested Development…
Regardless, Affion Crockett is an incredibly talented dude. We have not heard the last of him. I’m also looking forward to seeing what the very funny Robin Thede does next.
