Universal Pictures has released a new teaser trailer for Snow White And The Huntsman, the studio’s big revisionist fairy tale that stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. Rupert Sanders directed the film, which will be released June 1, 2012. That’s several months behind Relativity Media’s Mirror, Mirror, but these are obviously vastly different versions of the Snow White tale.

This looks fucking great. And I hate most fantasy movies. When I first heard about it, I rolled my eyes.
As a grown man, I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I’m actually kind of excited to go see Snow White. Guess the snark will have to wait for another trailer.
WOW! I am impressed! And why not? As a writer I dream of the day I sell my first script. Though I have not yet seen this movie or even read the script, I have read what Universal paid the writer. And this number, in dollars, lets me know to be first in line the summer day this comes to the theater; this movie is no joke.
Snow White and the Huntsman will be better than Mirror, Mirror because it has the stronger cast and it will be at least be the more critically successful movie. In addition, unlike Mirror, Mirror, the Queen in this film looks like an evil villain.
SW&TH also has much stronger script.
The trailer is fantastic and only Stewart haters say it`s bad or just OK. This is going to be a huge hit.

The trailer looks good, but it’s never a good sign when the lead actress doesn’t even speak in the trailer even though the other leads do. And the trailer is almost two minutes long. Reminds me of the trailer for Catwoman in that sense.
The aim was not to advertise the Twilight girl but the Snow White and the Huntsman movie. Universal has a potential hit on their hands.

But seriously, you’ve got a good point as she is allegedly the star. Also, it looks like they fixed a few script problems (there’s no longer a machine that steals their beauty and distills it into a potion). I hated the original script, but thankfully they got rewrites done on it.
I hated that part of the script too. I also hope they fix the annoying brat Prince. I can see Team Eric (Huntsman) and Team Charmant (Prince) forming and you bet the latter won`t have many members. Especially since Thor blow the balsawood from POTC out of water.

Mirror Mirror has lost this war, early release date or not. It has lost it ever since Comic Con where SW&TH poster presentation ignated the buzz. But this is just a bazooka blow.
The people who are in the loop on these scripts are in a trusted position with the studio and the filmmakers and should probably just shut up about it.

The trailer is obviously centered around the Queen. Hemsworth only has one little line and Claflin is barely even seen. I don’t think it has anything to do with Stewart. I had my doubts about this movie, but now I’m genuinely excited. The trailer looks incredible.

it’s a teaser trailer, and it’s being strategically released to coincide with Breaking Dawn promotion. It’s suppossed to work in tandem with Kristen’s higher profile at the moment. At the same time, it’s obvious that they don’t want to alienate non-twihards, so they focused more on the queen if you ask me. I say future trailers will be more snow white specific, but they aren’t going to pander that blantantly while piggbacking breaking dawn promo.
BRAVO. Tired of hearing “it must be because Kristen can’t act” one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. They wouldn’t have hired her if that was the case! Keeping the buzz going is crucial, and they’re doing this by postponing the full reveal of Snow White. They know all of Kristen’s fans can’t wait to hear her British accent. She remains a mystery here. Brilliant teaser.

This looks surprisingly good. Just looked this director up. Some epic commercial and short film work. Hope the bet on this first time feature director pays off. Seems like a good bet. I was worried it would be twilighty and it looks darker and high end on the vfx which I like. Might actually go to this film in the theater.
“high end on the vfx”…yeah, I noticed that too. Has me wondering about the price tag for this movie. How much is this little diddy costing Universal?? Anyone know? The internet articles are saying this trailer and its artwork are “Alice-like”, which is obviously a reference to “Alice in Wonderland” and it had a $200M dollar price tag. Then there were the Comic-Con comparisons by the director to “Lord of the Rings” which cost roughly $100M, and that was 10 years ago with less known actors that probably cost less.
Unless I’m missing something, this movie has NOT been identified as a large budget film for Universal. How many chips do they actually have on the table right now? They’ve got that financial black-hole “Battleship” lurking out there for next year and now this? Investors deserve an explanation.

Exactly what I was just thinking. Charlize looks absolutely amazing. She is the perfect evil queen. As long at Charlize is the central character and Kristen Stewart doesn’t talk in it, I will most definitely go see this.

Hyland doesn’t have to be more beautiful now, just pretty enough for the audience to buy the idea that in 5 years or so she could surpass Theron (who would be older) in the looks department.
yeah, Kristen is such a cow. Insert eye roll here. She’s a very pertty girl. No one is more beautiful than Charlize Theron, none of Kristen’s peers certainly. But the point isn’t about who’s most beautiful, but who’s most fairest. The queen is a a hot soccer mom who’s threatened by the high school cheer leader when it comes down it. And if you listened to the trailer more carefully, the mirror seems to be implying that snow white will topple the evil queen eventually and surpass her, not just be prettier.
But Kristen ISN’T the high school cheerleader. She’s the librarian’s assistant. The teacher’s pet. The cafeteria helper.
You really got to give credit to Rupert Sunders, and it’s his directorial debut, I don’t think there’s much to say…except that the movie looks geniunely awesome.
Charlize Theron we missed this badassery. Welcome home. Don’t worry Ryan Kavanaugh, we won’t look at Mirror Mirror’s box office.

Trailer’s fine, Thor and Bella look great. But come on, ripping of Inception trailer music is not cool. I know they remixed and rearranged Zack Hemesy’s “Mind Heist”, and it probably was made of commercial use, but, too soon, too soon. They end it on the same notes and ‘BAAAAH” too. Ruined an otherwise good first look at the feel. Rooting for Tarsem more, cause he has the world’s best snow white. Inception rip off aside, the feel of this film is nice.

The trailer was superb, i was sceptical that this could emulate LOTR as the producers had said but i see it, i really do. Charlize looks like she is lapping it up. Great cast all round!

Please haters, I can see right through you. Leave Kristen alone. She works hard for this movie and I bet you will watch this movie next year even when she’s on this. Kristen and Charlize will do a very fine job just looking at this impressive trailer. They are setting the tone of the movie with a grit that’s why the evil queen is first introduced, the next teaser trailer will feature Kristen more. This director will be huge. I love the hype of this movie so far…

I agree with most of the comments here. Most trailers these days blow. This is one of the best trailers I’ve seen in a while, too, and makes me want to see the movie. Congrats to all involved.
