Veteran actor-comedian Paul Reiser has signed with ICM. He was with UTA. Reiser most recently created, executive produced and starred in The Paul Reiser Show, which had a brief, low-rated midseason run on NBC. Reiser is best known for co-creating/exec producing and starring in another NBC comedy series, the long-running Mad About You. Reiser also has written three books, most recently Familyhood, published earlier this year, a follow-up to Couplehood and Babyhood.

its sad when old comedians stop being funny. id say george carlin and bill maher are the exceptions.

Not sure this is the first press you want after Mickey and Josh leave. But sure why not? Heard they are close to signing Bronson Pinchot also fingers crossed.
Guess he needed to leave UTA since they couldn’t seem to do anything for him. Not sure why this is bad for ICM….
Poor Paul Reiser. Why? Who is advising this man? He’s very talented and should go play some small parts in movies or get in gear to host the Oscars after Billy Crystal. He needs a new self image so he can choose more interesting projects.
Reiser must not read Deadline. Doesn’t he know the agency is imploding, with Berg and Silbermann at each other’s throats? Bad decision by a great comedic actor.
It’s a perfect signing. A washed up actor signs with a washed up agency.
He’s had multiple best sellers and a TV show that had been in syndication until recently, unless he has a really expensive lifestyle, I’m sure he doesn’t need the money or the work. But then based on his recent efforts, maybe there’s no more wax in the candle so it’s just as well.

So, UTA gets his sorry ass show on the air and because it sucked balls, fires them and signs with a sinking ship. Brilliant.
