EXCLUSIVE: 90210 alumna Jennie Garth has been tapped as the lead in ABC Family’s half-hour comedy pilot Village People, from creator Meg DeLoatch. The project centers on Alexa (Garth), a single, high-powered career woman who adopts a baby from a teen mother — whom she ends up caring for as well. In addition to starring, Garth will also executive produce the pilot alongside DeLoatch. Garth recently reprises her role as Kelly Taylor on the CW’s 90210 reboot. On the comedy side, she starred on the WB series What I Like About You.

New ‘Man Of Steel’ Television Spot #6

What I Like About You was one of the most underrated sitcoms ever. Great cast and writing.
I’m going to read about this show again instead of taking an Ambian.
Please cast amanda bynes as the teen…
I hope the baby is black and there’s a gay nanny who’s quick with pop culture quips. That’ll give the show some edge.
Priestly tearing it up in Canada on his show, Jennie gets a show, Brian Austin Green is married to controversial sex-bomb, Shannen Doherty is alive and well, Luke Perry thriving in B-movies, Ian Ziering gets free VIP at the rippers, Andrea Zuckerman was too level-headed to flame out and the kid who played Scott has gone three years since the last asshole stopped him to say, “You shot yourself!”
90210 kids represent the opposite of the Seinfeld curse.
No quip about the boss’s daughter becoming a fame whore/reality TV star/Lifetime movie staple?
And don’t forget Kathleen Robertson is on BOSS which got picked up for a 2nd season and she is also a good writer. #90210Winning. Which of the current 90210 Kids will have a career when that shit gets cancelled?
Could not agree more!
Jennie Garth is a beautiful comedic actress. I agree, WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU, was terribly under-rated. Looking forward to seeing this project come together.
didnt know who she was until DWTS. i’ve liked her since>
This sounds awesome. I can’t wait to see Jennie Garth back on television!
She was hilarious on What I Like About You. She’s great for comedy. Looking forward to this.
Hope they don’t cast a young girl like 14 that would be the wrong message to send out.
