Following a 2-script pickup last week, NBC has given new drama series Grimm a full-season pickup with a Back 9 order. The move comes after the rookie posted a 1.6 adult 18-49 rating this past Friday, even with the previous week to stop the show’s post-premiere slide. Additionally, NBC, which opted to keep Grimm in its original low-trafficked Friday 9 PM slot on the recently released midseason schedule, is giving the fairytale procedural a tryout in the Thursday 10 PM slot. A new Grimm episode will air on Thursday Dec. 8, followed by another original in the series’ regular Friday 9 PM berth the following night. “This series is turning the traditional procedural drama on its head and is attracting a loyal following for us on Friday nights,” NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt said. “We love where it’s going creatively and we’re excited to deliver more episodes to our audience.” Grimm exceeded expectations with its debut, which posted a 2.1 demo rating on Friday airing against Game 7 of the World Series. Season-to-date, it has averaged a 2.3/7 in adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers overall in “most current” averages and has improved NBC’s Friday 9 PM time period by 50% in adults 18-49 vs. last year in “live+same day.” Grimm also has proven a big DVR draw, growing 47% in 18-49 in Live+7, more than any new drama this fall. It has become the only freshman NBC drama to get a full-season order, joining comedies Up All Night and Whitney.
Inspired by the classic Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Grimm centers on Portland homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) who discovers he is descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as “Grimms,” charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world. Grimm is produced by Universal Television with Hazy Mills Prods. and GK Prods. It was created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf. Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf, Naren Shankar and Norberto Barba are the executive producers.

I really enjoy Grimm and am excited to see it on Thursday which frees up Friday 9pm for me to watch Fringe once it returns (I only watch comedies on Thursdays so 10pm works for me!). I love procedural dramas and this has a nice twist (I also LOVE the Grimm fairytales so that’s a def plus). I’m still watching Once Upon a Time but if I have to choose, I like Grimm better. Thanks, NBC!!!
I love Grimm !!! Please do a season 2 and if NBC doesn’t pick it back up hopefully f

Grimm is a really good show. The twists they put on traditional fairy tales is amazing. I reckon they could make the episodes more grittier. Good to have a Vessen and a Grimm working together. Would love to see how the story unfolds. They have over a hundred stories to do. Looking forward to more episodes. Keep it running
I love this series. It makes Friday evening absolutely riveting. Want to see more of it.
loved the show from the first five minutes of the pilot. I enjoy every minute since. a bit like UK “demons”, but without the imperative slaying of the “beatst”.
p.s. sorry for the bad english
I love grim but I think Fridays at 9 was a perfect time slot now it will be competing with teen wolf if that season is still going by then and alphas on Monday’s at 10 so wouldn’t call it the smartest idea
