Harry’s Law is featured on NBC’s just-released midseason schedule, so this seams like a foregone conclusion, but word is that NBC is giving a full-season to David E. Kelley’s sophomore series. Also looking good to get a back order is freshman Grimm, which also is on NBC’s midseason schedule. UPDATE: I have learned that for now, the fairytale drama has received an order for additional scripts. Ominously missing from the schedule is rookie Prime Suspect. It seems like NBC brass in finally throwing the towel on the struggling remake. UPDATE: A rep for NBC says that the network brass are “considering our options” on Prime Suspect, which has not been officially canceled.

Where the hell is Community?
Agreed.
The Thursday at 8 time slot is murder but it still managed to build a loyal fan base. They should really give it a chance in a different time slot to see if it can attract new viewers.
Aren’t you the same person who posted this five times in the other thread?
hey guys, 3.5million viewers is not enough to justify keeping it on the air.
why no GRIMM pickup yet??? it better go a full season it’s the only show besides The VOIce I watch on nbc
Grimm pickup will probably be announced soon. Since it’s on the mid-season schedule. yay!!! (or i mean, obvs conjecture but i sure hope so)
Harry’s Law is splendid, as is Kathy Bates. One of my favs. The addition of the West Point-educated stud, Mark Valley, is also a welcome addition on the program.
I hope Grimm is picked up. Everyone I know and even people I don’t know, tell me they watch the program and thoroughly enjoy it.
Glad Harry’s Law is getting its back nine picked up. Really enjoying the show.
harry’s law over prime suspect. WTF R U, CBS?
AGREED
Why not move Prime Suspect to USA? USA is filled with shows nobody watches that are somehow considered hits.
USA Network won’t take Prime Suspect, too dark for their comedy-drama shows like Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, and Suits. That’s 1 reason why USA gave shows Monk and Law & Order: CI final seasons. Monk & LOCI were getting darker (during season 9 L&O: CI was stupid) and they also took declines in ratings.
But Prime Suspect (NBC) should be canceled, it’s nothing like the original UK series.
Actually, many shows on USA enjoy MORE viewers than NBC.
The only three shows I watch on NBC are Harry’s Law, Prime Suspect and Grimm.
now that is a great idea!
Good! NBC NEEDS to cancel Prime Suspect! Cop dramas are getting old now (they were before)!
Prime suspect is currently the smartest crime procedural on broadcast. It’s a very subtle character study. It’s the only thing that somewhat filled the void since The Chicago Code cancellation by fox last spring.
Broadcast needs to at least have one complex and gritty crime drama. Right now basic cable has the three best crime drama on television.
1.Justified
2.South Land
3.The Closer
NBC is as bad with Prime Suspect as ABC is being with Pan-Am, they seem to struggle with hard choices.
Prime Suspect is a good, character driven, cop show.
Grimm is a good, character driven, supernatural cop show.
Tired of hearing about “the normal” cop shows! That’s why the Law & Order franchise is dead, the CSI franchise is dying, and that’s why when people hear the words ‘cop drama’ they get angry. There is no originality anymore (Grimm is original)! NYPD, LAPD cops solving crimes, having drama in their lives, whatever it’s BORING! Prime Suspect IS BORING! NBC is to blame for their own failure. NBC is screwing over Harry’s Law for no reason!
Even in the best case scenario for Smash and The Voice, Bob Greenblatt won’t get NBC out of fourth place. Thursday night needs a profound overhaul and it’s shocking how few people are talking about the office’s ratings collapse this year, which has impacted the rest of the night.
I actually really like Prinme Suspect – acting, writing, directing is all really good! I hope NBC keeps it!
I Love Prime Suspect…..one of the only TV shows I watch any more. Bello does a great job with her character. The guys in the station house might be a bit too crusty, but great show. One of the few progrsms I look forward to watching. Disappointed to hear it may be cancelled.
I have really gotten into Prime Suspect… as has my husband, friends and neighbors. The scripts have improved and characters developed. I like the show. I hope it survives.
I want my Prime Suspect!! I’ve got weeks of Harry’s Law stacked up in the DVR but Prime Suspect I watch same/next day as soon as I can!! Love Kathy Bates but the writing sharked. LOVE Maria Bello as the grittiest female cop on TV.
Not a bad move for a promising show versus their overall schedule at NBC, which is a trainwreck. If they have enough sense there, they officially cancel and bury Prime Suspect once and for all and throw Whitney in there for good measure as well.
Love Harry’s Law. Someone needs to put SOMETHING on Thursday nights. Anything.
what happen to Harrys Law
Cop dramas are not getting old…only bad ones are! and Prime Suspect is one of them. Yes! Get rid of that stupid hat!
GREAT new schedule and smart moves for these shows— “Harry’s Law” is great and perfect for Sundays. “UP ALL NIGHT” has one of the best casts on TV and deserves Thursdays… They needed something great on Mondays at 10—let’s hope “Smash” is as good as it sounds on paper. “Awake” should round out things nicely. NBC made some huge mistakes last pilot season, picking up crap like “playboy” and “Prime Suspect” over smart, interesting pilots like “Metro” and “Reconstruction”…
Agreed! It’s a great procedural and I’ll be so disappointed if it goes off-air.
If you really enjoy Grimm… You must be entertained by puppet shows. Blutbots and yeagermaster monsters? The writers aren’t even trying. Please go watch your true demo, Jack and Jill.
Well, they can’t run dead air. And they’ve got a very shallow bench. So a turkey like Harry’s Law (which they’re getting for next to nothing as a WB package along with Chuck) gets an back order. And HL will continue to drag down whatever night it’s on.
Nope. First post today.
I wouldn’t have thought of 8:PM Sunday for HARRY, but it’s not a bad slot at all–the competition is a reality show, a younger-skewing fantasy, and THE SIMPSONS, which is easily DVR-able and in any event will be rerun forever. This just might work.
Congrats to harry’s law it has a very special guest coming up it’s lois lane herself played by the perfect erica durance
I love PRIME SUSPECT. Acting, writing, evreything is terrific and it keeps getting better. I started watching on DEMAND but now I tune in every week during prime time. Don’t cancel one of the best shows on NBC and keep Whitney…blech.
