I have learned that NBC has ordered two additional scripts from freshman drama Grimm. The fairytale-themed drama procedural, created by Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt, got off to a great ratings start on Friday, October 28 against Game 7 of the World Series. It has slipped since but still ranks as one of NBC’s highest-rated scripted shows in 18-49. In an encouraging sign, Grimm was featured on NBC’s midseason schedule released on Monday.

Huh? where is my FULL SEASON of GRIMM?!?!
Dear NBC, From my point of view, Grimm is one of only 3 shows on your network that I look forward to watching (and only new show). You are crazy not to promise fans that yes they can get invested in these characters because the show won’t be canceled. Until fans of Grimm are promised a full season or more, don’t expect us to come in throngs. It’s hard to fall in love with someone who may or may not move away from you, and same goes for being invested in television series. CBS take note. It might be time for you to sweep in and rescue this Grimm damsel.
How stupid is NBC?? It’s one of their top scripted shows (one of their top shows of any genre), it’s on a Friday, and it’s holding up well. It’s on the midsession schedule (staying on Fridays. Again stupid) and still doesn’t have a full season order and they order TWO scripts?? Dumb NBC. DUMB!!
and I don’t even watch this show so I’m not an angry fan!
Two is better than none.
I hope the ‘People’s Choice’ nomination might convinced the suits at NBC that people want Grimm and not that horse-faced ‘Whitney.’
Whitney has better ratings than Grimm. I like both shows, not sure how either go hand in hand
But Whitney is nominated also… I think all the new shows get nominated.
It’s somewhat good news for NBC, in an otherwise demoralizing season so far.
I don’t know dude, Outsourced was nominated for a PCA last year too, and look how that ended. Whatever. I love Grimm. Actually captivated by it
I love Grimm too. it’s a great show and I like the series regulars a lot they are great
Grimm smells. If NBC had confidence, they would order actual episodes instead of just scripts.
While Prime Suspect is one of the lowest rated shows on Monday, NBC keeps Grimm on Fridays. Now you see why the network is in last place.
Grimm fans are annoying as fuck already
The reason why additional episode aren’t picked up yet is because it is just in its third episode. And because its ratings are between good and bad (in NBC’s case, between great and good). Just wait a couple more weeks and I’m sure the network will give more episodes. And remember, NBC is very full this season, despite more episodes, we may not see them until March or April or even June. Let’s keep the faith…for now.
Love grimm n that it’s being filmed in my hometown of portland, or. Where i can possibly see it live or be on it as well.
Whitney’s ratings really don’t mean jack since it’s hanging on to Office lead in. Come January we’ll see those real tanking viewership numbers when it moves to Wednesdays.
Grimm ratings will not pick up as long as it is up against Fringe and Supernatural for the same time slot. That just isn’t going to happen. We love Sam and Dean and Fringe’s crazy world and Peter, Olivia, Walter and Astrid. Yes, Astrid is cool.
I like Grimm but I refuse to give up my Fringe/Supernatural time slot. I will watch the Grimm marathon on Syfy Tuesday, November 22. I hope Syfy picks up Grimm permanently. That would seem to solve the Friday problem.
I’m not suggesting Syfy should air it on Friday’s. That would be a very bad idea. Or NBC should consider moving it to a less busy week night.
Love Guintoli!
Grimm is a good show, but I don’t like how every criminal in Portland just happens to be some creature. Where else in the world are the creatures? Why doesn’t the cop dude ever catch ordinary criminals too? And why are all of the creature cases given to him accidentally anyways?
I am a HUGE fan of Grimm I hope this ahow never goes off air
