J.J. Abrams, Glenn Close, John Travolta, Alec Baldwin, Larry Gordon, Rick Baker, Mary J. Blige, and Maria Shriver were some of the names who helped the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences present Honorary Awards to actor James Earl Jones and makeup artist Dick Smith and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to philanthropist Oprah Winfrey. It was the Academy’s 3rd Annual Governors Awards dinner last night at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center. Photos on next page:

I believe Oprah could have been a little more modest, don’t you think. This is actually an award for being a Humanitarian not winning the ball game. Next time Oprah try to be a little humble it’s more appealing. After laughing so hard I am almost lost for words when looking at the grim faces of the others all accept James earl Jones. He is always a gentleman and a professional. That is why he will always be a star. The Governor Award Dinner’. How can you forget that there are people who can’t afford electric paid their rent or maybe not even a meal during this time because of the economy! Can you think of something better you can throw your money away on besides over priced wasted dinners Affairs? How much of that food is thrown into the trash?
Didn’t you get the memo? Oprah has transcended humility and is barely holding on to corporeal form.
O.o Who care about Oprah!!! James Earl Jones and Dick Smith WOO HOO!!!!
