A month shy of his one-year anniversary at CNN, Piers Morgan just posted his lowest-rated month to date in the key adults 25-54 demographic. His Piers Morgan Tonight averaged 154,000 viewers in the demo in November. That was down 4% from the delivery of his predecessor Larry King in the 9 PM slot last November. Meanwhile, in his first full month at 8 PM, MSNBC’s Ed Schultz drew 201,000 in 25-54. That was better than the 176,000 demo viewers Lawrence O’Donnell delivered in the slot in October. But it was down 35% from the performance of Keith Olbermann in the 8 PM hour last November. (O’Donnell too was down 35% from Olbermann’s October 2010 average.) Overall, Fox News once again led the cable news network pack in November with 258,000 viewers among adults 25-54, followed by MSNBC (138,000) and CNN (121,000).

He’s terrific. But there just are no more guests left. I mean all the interviewers do now is interview each other. Jon Stewart-Brian Williams, Bill O-Jon Stewart….we simply have run out of people. Charlie Rose is great. Piers is terrific. Piers should do a Charlie type show.

His show is actually good. When he started it was painfully awful because he kept interrupting his guest before they finished answering the meat to his questions… which is a tick of a true narcissist – but he’s gotten better. I also like the way he hasn’t backed down from his own opinions when disagreeing with someone.
I just wish he’d stop saying stuff like “I mean, if I was a big movie star, I wouldn’t walk down the street in…. “…. No one cares what you think about the “if’s”, let the guests speak.
Here’s the BIG MEMO to Piers: have CNN have your guests written in the drop down box on the scheduling section of the DVR (like I can see who Letterman has on tonight by scrolling forward). CNN never has them listed so I have missed some good guests and you would have a lot more people recording the show. I only get the midnight show here in LA, so I miss a lot of them.
It’s currently the best talk show on TV.

I agree with the above posting about guests being written in the show description. I’m sure the guests aren’t booked THAT last minute, and if there’s a change in the line-up, not the end of the world. It would really help me decide if I want to watch each night. No one is watching this just to hear Pierce talk. I don’t think it’s a good show and I hate it when he talks about domestic issues like politics. Just doesn’t sound genuine. Happy for the new addition to his family though! Congrats!
I’m still surprised he is even on the air. His show comes off as boring and just plain odd. He’s a jackass who thinks he nows everything and is only known for being a judge on some stupid reality show. Go home Piers!!!

His show is unwatchable. With so many choices on tv, why would ANYONE watch his show. He is literally the worst interviewer on the air.
CNN – hire Regis or even Gelman…anyone at all and dump that self-important twit.
Piers has really improved since he started but his guests have gone down hill. I mean can u really talk to Eva Longoria or Chaz Bono or even Morgan Freeman for an hour ? Because of his friendships and because he never asked a hard question Larry got much better people.

Another couple of months like this, and, hopefully early next year, CNN will wake up and cancel Morgan’s awful show.
Piers is awful, the show is awful. I half-watched an entire episode whilst doing dishes, and I came upon a way to improve the show. All CNN has to do is wire me $100,000 and I can fix this train wreck.
