The Classification and Rating Appeals Board today upheld the R rating given to the movie Haywire. The Classification and Rating Administration (CARA) had assigned the movie the R rating for “some violence.” In the appeal brought by Five Continents, the Appeals Board heard statements on behalf of Haywire from Steven Soderbergh, the film’s director, and Kyle Davies, President, Worldwide Distribution for Relativity Media. The Classification and Rating Administration was represented by Chairman Joan Graves.

Wait, why are we supposed to care about this again?
it’s no surprise for everyone.
having seen HAYWIRE last sunday night at AFI..I’m shocked to hear it was given an R…I mean..there’s no way…so much worse offensive violence on prime time television…the fact it’s not pg-13 is a joke.
They’ll water it down to PG-13. I have no idea why they just didn’t go for a hard R. Clearly they want the MMA star’s teen fans to fill theaters. I’ll pass.
This film has one of the worst trailers I’ve ever seen. They’d sure as hell better do everything they can to get butts in seats.
