UTA has gone outside of the agency world for its latest agent hire. Lucinda Moorhead, Manager of Development at BBC Worldwide Prods., is joining UTA as an agent in the TV Literary Department. She will start at the beginning of the year. Moorhead, who has some agency experience (she started off as an assistant at CAA), spent the last 3 years at Los Angeles-based BBC Worldwide Prods.. There, she worked on the development of scripted series, including Starz’s Torchwood: Miracle Day; Starz’s upcoming drama series Da Vinci’s Demons, and the NBC drama project Borgen, based on the Danish format. “Lucinda is a passionate advocate for great television, and we know she will be a terrific agent and a major asset to our team,” UTA Managing Director Jay Sures said. Added Jane Tranter, Head of BBC Worldwide Prods., Lucinda has a rare combination of drive, creative passion, insight and wit. She is a class act, talented, warm, funny and bright. UTA is lucky to have her spark on their team, and we all wish her huge amounts of luck and happiness on this exciting new stage of her career. ”

Nothing or no one can help the cesspool known as UTA.
Another great addition to the UTA fold. They are very luck to have her.
i know her and think she’s very smart but why wouldn’t they promote any of the FIVE trainees who are perfect and having been slaving for the job??! bum move.
Incredibly well deserved. Lucinda is fantastic and will make a great addition. Congrats!
Congratulations to Lucinda- she’s extremely hard-working, smart and talented. Well deserved!
She worked on “Torchwood”?!!?
Are UTA mad? That thing was terrible!
Is she related to Kraven Morehead?
Good one…..I think it’s Moorhead though
It only requires a five minute conversation w/ Moorhead to know she is a stroke-of-genius hire. UTA stays true to their content/creative roots by adding smarts like Lucinda with international perspective and a savvy, all-good-in-the-’wood approach. This is a chess-play move by Sures & Co. Bravo!
Congrats Cinda!
Woohoo! Go Luci!
So deserved! They are lucky to have her!
Lucinda is bright, bold, passionate, forward thinking and highly intuitive; UTA is very smart, and very lucky, to have her on their team.
Congratulations, but UTA is a terrible organization. No soul, no concern for clients, only chasing the dollar bill. They are the worse. They rarely make outgoing calls for clients and will steal anyone’s work and give it to their “moneymakers.” I despise them. WME is better, barely, but better,
Kelly, have to disagree with you as a UTA client. They make a lot of outgoing calls for me as well as put me in rooms with people I want to meet. I get some of my jobs from them and get my own work too. I’m very happy there. Good group of agents.
Fantastic move for Lucinda and UTA….We will miss her brains, energy and spirt!
So proud of my Cousin!!
