EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed screenwriters Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, the scribes behind Iron Man and the upcoming remake of Highlander that has Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directing at Summit Entertainment. The writers had been repped for years by ICM, and that agency certainly helped get them on the A-list. Among their other work, the scribes also adapted the Robert Ludlum novel The Sigma Protocol for Universal.

Great sign by CAA. Shocked that UTA blew a meeting and WME needs to stop making shorts and grip up.
Ouch. Anyone know whose on the team? Feldman? McKnight?
guess they weren’t offered partnership status…
Oh ICM…
Anyone want to guess how big ICM’s bonuses were this year?
I’d say their agents at ICM did a damn great job for them. They’re just another notch in the bedpost at CAA.
Nicole Clemens did an incredible job getting these guys a bunch of great jobs. It’s not her fault no one ever wanted to hire them a second time.
Great work Nicole ! You are a fine agent. As for these two? They’ll be asking CAA in 3 months what have you done for me lately ! But here is the the good news… CAA are going to ask them to write Hangover 5 ! Way to go Losers ! Don’t take them back Nicole you have far more class and dignity to be dealing with yestersday’s news.
They did the exact same thing to their first agent and manager who after loads of work sold their action pitch to Disney and put them on the map. ICM poached them while the agent was on vacation out of the country. Payback is a bitch, why was anyone surprised?
Nicole has kicked ass for them for MANY YEARS and this is how they repay her? This woman got these guys a franchise and it sounds like they have great projects on the horizon. I don’t see why or how this happened. Stupid.
Great sign? Do your homework. They have crapped out multiple times in a row. Short of writing a spec to revive their careers it’s chilly out there for these two.
To CAA, nice sign. I’m surprised they didn’t go for UTA. A better home for them. As far as ICM, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
They clearly made the right decision – jumping off a sinking ship at ICM.
There is NO loyalty – we are all just a bunch of animals trying to survive.
Great sign. Iron Man was not a franchise until they wrote a great script. They were offered to do the sequel, but too late. They had already committed to two new projects. Too bad, Iron Man 2 could have used them.
