CBS Crews Up For ‘CBS This Morning’

• I used to produce a segment of the morning show. (and on an unrelated note had dinner with charlie rose once in aswan) but this concept of the new morning show sounds pretty grim. am i wrong and just don’t get it?

• I agree with you Bobby. In fact, I find Gayle King very annoying and have no interest to check out the revamped show for that reason alone. Guess it’s still GMA and local Fox affiliate for morning news for me!

• Gayle King first thing in the morning. Ugh! Gayle King ever is hard to take. And I can’t imagine what Charlie Rose is thinking. This is right up there with Clint Eastwood’s family attempting to be the Kardashians. It is all through the looking glass.

• Folks/commentors you are all missing the point here with the revamped CBS news show in the morning. They are moving away from “tabloid” style format for its gotten them nowhere in ten years. If you do your research you’ll find that Gayle King is a highly educated journalist who spent 20 years doing news reporting and anchor work.

  They are going more “mainstream” real news; You can get a preview of this by watching the Evening News with Scott Pelly. I think it may make an impact for CBS and move them out of their last place to maybe second and its refreshing to me because I “puke” at GMA and NBC’s morning show.

  • I agree….I won’t be watching it anymore either. I can’t tolerate Gayle King and don’t care for Charlie Rose. The set is ‘too busy’ looking to be interesting and Gayle is a ‘wonna be’. She will never be anything more than the Opray side-kick and the cultivated voice is too much for me. I like the other 2 a lot, but they lost lots of people taking on the other 2. I’ve heard lots of people say they quit watching it and I’ve given it 2 days….that’s all I can take of it.

• Just goes to show CBS hasn’t got it when it comes to Morning shows, Erica Hill, yuk, Gail King, double yuk, I like Charlie Rose but how could he accept being paired those 2?
