Chuck Lorre’s latest elaborate tongue-in-cheek holiday card makes light of a pretty tough year for the prolific writer-producer. He was the target of public insults as well as a multimillion dollar lawsuit by Charlie Sheen over Two And A Half Men. Then Lorre had to transition the show from Sheen to new leading man Ashton Kutcher. The card depicts the comedy heavyweight pinned down by a gorilla who is pounding him. “Oddly enough, not my worst day this year,” Lorre writes inside:

I thought he stopped doing these cards after the Sheen fiasco, but here’s ole Chuck back at it once again. Will he ever learn?
No, he was back to doing vanity cards right after the Sheen stuff started blowing up, reused across all three of his shows.
He was doing vanity cards from the get-go and not just for 2 1/2 Men. And he never stopped. He was doing cards prior to the incidents with Charlies Sheen. The cards were done because of Sheen, he’s always done them. He talks about his career, marriages, life, religion, psychology and just random thoughts. They are sometimes amusing and sometimes hysterically funny or just thought provoking.
sometime unfunny and pathetic..oups no..almost all the time actually.
Just as funny as what I’ve come to expect from this comedy genius.
It’s time to move on, Mr. Lorre.
Deliciously droll. Happy New Year, Mr. Lorre.
Nicely done Chuck!!
I love what Chuck Lorre does, and he’s a genius, but didn’t he win the battle he started already? He wrote the vanity card about being pissed if Charlie Sheen dies before him, Charlie goes on a bender, they bad mouth each other (Charlie on stage, Chuck in vanity cards), the studio fires Charlie, and the show goes on. No need to be a sore winner, unless there’s something I missed.
Chuck and Chuck, or Charlie and Charlie, or Chaim and Carlos. . . need to have lunch at the trendiest spot in Hollywood and make out wildly remembering better times that did so much for both of them. It’s over, fellas. . . get past it for your mutual mental health.
Who gives a shit! This town is filled with narcissists.
Haha poor guy, but still got a sense of humor left in him! Lol
…he should use these last drops of humor left in him to improve 2 1/2 men then.
Should have been a bonobo monkey “greeting” card.
Happy Holidays!
probably if the gorilla produced 2 1/2 Men it would be a funnier show
so true, bill h, so true…. that gorilla could make the show an ever bigging hit than the monkeys, er, writers currenty chained to their desks. such an execrable show. and lorre is no genius. if his show were not a cash cow no critic would even give it the time of day!
What a goon.
Aww jeez, not this shit again.
How can I help poor Chuck Lorre endure his terribly difficult year?
Instead of being beaten by a gorilla, it would be more appropriate if the card depicted Chuck Lorre beating a dead horse.
You made my day with this post. Love it!
Chuck Lorre’s talent seems to be slipping lately? He’s about as funny as polio since a certain guy left a certain Monday-night comedy?
Of course, when you’re a writer, you don’t get the laughs the actors and real talent get,so you resort to getting the chuckles when you can….
and Ashton Kutcher? Look at John Cryer,he’s really showing his age from the stress of carrying a sinking ship to shallow waters.
Multi-camera comedy 101: It’s shot in front of a live audience. The writers are on set, fully aware of the audience’s response to THEIR words. If needed, the WRITERS will adjust the lines, not the actors.
“It’s about time the piano realizes it hasn’t written the concerto.”
All About Eve/Joe Mankiewicz
Wow, Chuck Lorre did something funny that didn’t involve a poop or p*nis joke?
@ who cares! Now that’s funny. Couldn’t have said it better. So over Lorre…he needs to do the same. What a jerk !
This card is as lame as Two & Half Men without Sheen. Sorry Chuck you need to learn to move on. Sheen was proven correct with the stupid stunts you keep pulling. What a loser.
I’ve always enjoyed Chucks vanity cards…always an extra laugh at the end but usually at the expense of Charlies faux pois. Once he knew it bothered Charlie he should have stopped immediately and apologized. In my mind that would have saved the day the show and the working relationship between them. I feel bad for the hurt feelings all around.
This so funny I love this so funny lol and then some still laughing and happy holidays to you also.
Chuck Lorre looks better in a suit and tie,
the Christmas card should be at the Bel Air Hotel swimming pool with him drinking out of a martini glass, with Ashton sitting next to him with a diaper on. The back of the diaper says…..Sheen Rocks, and I suck………..
Is that Walden’s brother?
