The latest Disney Channel original movie, Good Luck Charlie: It’s Christmas, an offshoot of the network’s hit sitcom, premiered with 6.9 million total viewers last night. It dethroned Lifetime’s The Craiglist Killer as the most-watched live-action cable movie of 2011. Good Luck Charlie also delivered 3.3 million kids 6-11, 2.4 million tweens and 1.4 million adults 18-49. The movie provided a strong launching pad for Disney Channel’s new music-centered sitcom Austin & Ally, which opened well with 5.7 million total viewers, 2.7 million kids 6-11 and 2.1 million tweens. The series moves to its regular time slot Sunday.

Good Luck Charlie is too good for the Disney channel. It could probably hold its own on ABC. Perhaps TGIF even if they bring that back
My whole family thought the movie was great. It far surpassed most of the tv movies aimed at kids at teens that seem to be made these days. Congrats to all involved…and give us more please.
If Viacom is wondering why Disney is pummeling Nickelodeon, they need only watch Good Luck Charlie. This show is a great example of a family sitcom. Yes, the adults are sometimes goofy; but they aren’t nearly the buffoons that Schneider makes every adult out to be on his shows.
We watched this; even a surly teen was heard to chuckle and say “that was a pretty good line”.
this movie is truly for teen and kids. i also like the movie. they have done some great work together! In short it is one of the best movies of the year!!
good movie
