EXCLUSIVE: Fox has bought a single-camera comedy project starring comedian Josh Wolf, regular panelist on Chelsea Handler’s E! late-night talk show Chelsea Lately. Wolf will co-write the show with Seinfeld alum Spike Feresten and Michael Morris (Brothers & Sisters), with Chelsea Handler and her friend, In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack, who is married to Morris, executive producing. Also executive producing are Feresten and Handler’s producing partner at Borderline Amazing Tom Brunelle. Morris, Wolf and Brad Wollack will co-executive produce. The comedy, set up at 20th Century Fox TV, is based on Wolf’s

ANOTHER useless show from Handler? These “comedians” are not funny and do not warrant their own shows. Sorry but Whitney is the most awful show on TV and Josh Wolf is hardly funny other than his forced laughing on Chelsea Lately.
Here’s the difference: Whitney was only a standup and only appearing on Chelsea so she could someday get a show — which makes her a lame standup and makes it a lame show. Wolf is a funny comedian who got offered a show — and there’s actually good material to build off of there because of it.
And, really, give Wolf some credit for being the only comedian generous enough to actually laughs at other comedian’s jokes.
Hope he’s giving Louie CK half.
Concept doesn’t matter. Networks decide who they’re going to offer deals to – the show itself is completely incidental and the more it’s like something else the better.
Why is Mary McCormick slumming with these awful people? She used to have a real career.
No one deserves a shot more than Josh. A truly great guy.

chelsea handler is grotesque. if self-loathing is essential to being a good comedian, she must love herself much much more than she loves being funny. in her case, it’s the audience that loathes her.
Josh is one of my favorite comedians from “Chelsea Lately,” so I’m looking forward to seeing his show. Congrats to him! I hope it does well.

I really like Chelsea and her writing staff. After Lately has been really funny so far this season but this new Josh Wolf comedy sounds like a cheap rip off of Louis CK’s show.
What a clusterfuck of executive producers attached to this project. But that means it’s going to be great, right?

Can’t stand Chelsea Handler – here’s another show I will never see because it has her name attached.
Chelsea is trying to help bring up the people around her and I think it’s refreshing that she wants to help everyone around her. This is what more people should do when they are in this business, be loyal to those who you’ve built a work family with and help them as much as possible. I think it’s ridiculous how many negative comments there are which proves to the fact that we need more comedy because there are too many negative people and things in the world. All the people on her show have worked hard and make a living making people smile and laugh and any one of them deserves to get a gig like this. Can’t wait to watch as I do with all Chelsea handler related things because I love to laugh.

I obviously don’t watch enough tv to know who Louis CK is but just like movies and literature the same concept can be produced with very different outcomes. I think Chelsea and her staff are hilarious!
Chelsea Lately is sky rocketing so many comics onto solo projects of their own, I think it is fantastic that with her vast success she is giving comics a platform to showcase their talent in order to launch them on to further their careers, and who are we to judge, good for her for being a sound minded business women, in this economy at least she’s padding her bank account, wish I had her dough, hell I’m on disability. Congrats Josh, I hope the show takes of Bud!!!
