Dwayne Johnson signed on for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the followup to Rise Of The Cobra. Channing Tatum returns and the trailer saves what might be the best, for last. Directed by Jon M. Chu (Step Up 2, Step Up 3D), it’s slated to open June 29.

There’s not much of Channing Tatum in there. Does he have a limited role? Get killed off? Or did someone at Paramount tell the trailer shop to cut him out of much of it?
You see Duke’s dead body in the trailer. The Rock takes his tags off him and says “We’re all that’s left”. So yes, Channing gets killed off. They didn’t even save that for a surprise bonus in the movie.
Duke’s dead body is never seen. You see Channing diving into a well taking cover in the water and bullets zing past him. The Rock just takes tags off some random Joe. Probably Duke shows up in the third act as a twist.
Think again that was the Rock in the well. Not sure about Tatum though.
Best.Trailer.Ever
It looks a lot better than the original, frankly. I’ll watch it, but that’s no real yardstick. I’m an easy sell.
Palicki is hot. Bruce saves the day???
Flint! F yea, finally!
Actively awful. No Rachel Nichols, no desire to see it. With Bruce Willis as Bruce Willis. No thanks, Chu. Stick with The LXD, a far, farther better undertaking
WTF? Is this Ghost Protocol Redux?
Yes, yes it is.
Obviously they couldn’t leave out Ray Park and Byung-hun Lee. But bringing back Channing Tatum, undoubtedly the worst part of the first movie? Pretty sure it was Chu’s call, having Tatum back in the sequel is a slap in the face to all of the other (and better) actors from the first movie that did not get asked to return, especially Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols, who were two of the brighter spots from the first movie.
I see Bruce Willis performing the same perfunctory role as Dennis Quaid from the first one, which pretty much means squat. I’d be surprised if his role amounted more than just a cameo.
Supermodel ninjas. Why didn’t I think of that.
first one was awful this one looks better but ill likely keep away from it… at least joseph gordon levitt isnt doing another terrible preformance as cobra commander
Does anyone know if this will be in IMAX? or 3D? I hope IMAX but hopefully NOT 3D!!!
No Sgt. Slaughter=No interest
I feel that Channing Tatums character was good for both the GI Joes movies…it’s true, it would have been nice if they didn’t kill him off, but I guess Channing Tatum, will never be type cast…he will always leave his audience, followers and fans wanting more…I know I do….
