• this looks stupid. hwood keeps repeating itself with corporations as villains every. single. movie. it’s like the mindless repetition of chinese commie youth or the ows herd. but this is what schools teach these days, rather than actual subject matter; we get gay history ‘stead of readin’, ritin’ and ‘rithmetic.

  it’s no wonder the economy is in freefall. why should anybody expect any different when business baaaaaaaaaaad. oh well, just buy ben and jerry’s chocolate clusterfunk, and you’ll be paying your dues… one half of every fifth penny from a random selection of ten pints each year goes to stopping lorax abuse and this movie only has the carbon imprint of a small country.

• It’s interesting how innocuous and emasculated the politics of this trailer is compared to the original book. By drenching the story in a candy-colored dystopia and drugging kids into believing that they can change the world with a seed, the movie looks like it will have accomplished everything Orwell predicted. I feel good, I’ll plant a seed, buh-bye.
