Money.
Janet Healy is a mainstay for Chris and Illumination. This will be good and do solid box office.
The team of people Chris has put together should make Illumination a force in animated filmmaking.
Can’t wait to read the comments from the O’Reilly/Faux clan calling this a liberal, tree-hugging, blah blah blah…
this looks stupid. hwood keeps repeating itself with corporations as villains every. single. movie. it’s like the mindless repetition of chinese commie youth or the ows herd. but this is what schools teach these days, rather than actual subject matter; we get gay history ‘stead of readin’, ritin’ and ‘rithmetic.
it’s no wonder the economy is in freefall. why should anybody expect any different when business baaaaaaaaaaad. oh well, just buy ben and jerry’s chocolate clusterfunk, and you’ll be paying your dues… one half of every fifth penny from a random selection of ten pints each year goes to stopping lorax abuse and this movie only has the carbon imprint of a small country.
Wow. You must have watched a different trailer then I did. So now Dr. Seuss is evil?
I pity you. I truly do.
Dear Cadadoodle,
Lighten the fuck up!
Looks like you didn’t learn much about “ritin’” in your own school days.
Yes, Cadadoodle. You’ve totally hit the nail on the head.
The economy is in free fall because movies based upon classic children’s literature are being made.
Also, gay history in schools. What tyranny! These mother fuckin’ commie pinko libs don’t know what’s going on huh! Glad we have such astute readers on this site keeping it honest.
Oh and fuck trees. They’re stupid.
Surprised you didn’t take issue with Ben & Jerry’s Shwedy-Balls.
More leftist propaganda. Boycott. The cartoon is enough.
It’s hilarious thinking of parents letting their kids stay up to watch “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” because “the Lorax is in it!” The kiddies would be irreparably scarred.
It’s interesting how innocuous and emasculated the politics of this trailer is compared to the original book. By drenching the story in a candy-colored dystopia and drugging kids into believing that they can change the world with a seed, the movie looks like it will have accomplished everything Orwell predicted. I feel good, I’ll plant a seed, buh-bye.
at least they’ll plant a seed
but… that’s how the book ended? The Onceler gives the kid a seed, and send him off, to take care of it?
sorry. SPOILER ALERT.
The haircut on the villain is awesome. Couldn’t stop laughing.
Linda Hunt’s impact on our culture knows no bounds.
