  • Agreed. And the trailer’s pretty good. But it’s too long.

    Attention Hollywood: A trailer should never be over a minute and 45-seconds. Keep audiences hungry! Let US use OUR imaginations and get excited about what may or may not be coming.

    But it does look nice and Cruise will ALWAYS be a movie star.

  • Uhh, I loved Tree of Life and think this looks fun. The overacting is likely intentional BTW… kinda goes with the whole spirit of the 80s.

  • I’m gonna go ahead and argue the opposite… WORST CUT trailer I’ve ever seen. The flashing lights and erratic cuts don’t allow you to even wrap your head around what you’ve just seen. There will definitely have to be a #2.

• There’s something about seeing it in a broadway theater with broadway actors overacting ’80s rock that’s… acceptable… if you can enjoy that.

  The minute it’s turned into a big production, with “NAMES!” (cap letters and exclaim intentional) it changes everything that might have been charming about this.

  It will be huge. And suck. A lot.
