I think it could be really funny, but is it me, or does Sasha Baron Cohen’s schtick feel kind of dated and old.
And by the way, I have a much of a sense of humor as anyone, but that Empire State Building joke in the trailer is awful.

All dictators are ripe for parody; yet they also are too abominable for parody. Let’s see if SBC gets the right balance. The jury is still out considering this trailer – plays the obvious without much else yet.

hmmm. Loved Borat. Liked Bruno. This looks a little Adam Sandler-ish. But will give LC and SBC a shot beyond the trailer.
I’m not a fan of Sacha’s movies usually, but this made me laugh out loud twice. And I do love Megan, so maybe I’ll have to check this one out.

The only funny stuff was the race at the end. Otherwise, it DOES feel old, and not very funny. How many times can you repeat yourself? They at least should have had the beard look real. I’m forecasting a bomb. Ha. Ha.

Time out, folks! What would you rather see — crap like “Jack and Jill’ from Adam Sandler or something like this which tries to raise the comedy bar? Bruno was a disaster, but Borat was comedy genius. This is only a trailer, but I’d go see it. I laughed out loud. Can’t wait. Would rather see this than “Rock of Ages.”
Raise what bar exactly? This is crap. A retread of his only note and I for one have heard this note too many times. I also LOVED the Ali G show on HBO so I am not a hater and actually thought this guy would have a great run …But if you think this is edgy you must live in a 1950′s sitcom and find the “pee’ sketches on the god awful Whitest Kids u Know edgy as well…….The Ali G movie was horrible but he had no budget…Borat was a watered down, dummed down, half staged version of the character from the HBO show…okay funny if you hadn’t already seen the Borat stuff from the HBO show…and Bruno just sucked…This is garbage. He is trying to force his agenda with tit jokes. He is telling you Americans are stupid by throwing this shit at you and you are willingly “eating it” and proving him right. Another Sandler.
