Hope the movie is better than the trailer, cause the trailer sucked!
There are far too many of these large ensemble comedies. Love Actually was able to pull it off, but crap-fests like Valentine’s Day and this holiday’s New Year’s Eve are pretty lame. What to Expect looks like a derivation of He’s Just That Into You.
Please, stop.
Couldn’t have said it better. I love the idea of these star-studded casts, but this one better deliver better than “Valentine’s Day.”
I also love the idea of these ensemble star casts — and I love Elizabeth Banks. Cameron can be really funny too, so I’m excited to see what she does here. This makes me want to see more. Lots of funny people in it.
These ensemble movies are always huge and this one actually has a great cast and looks funny!!!
You’re just a hater. This looks fantastic! Great cast and great premise. Will be huge!
I didn’t actually laugh until the card appears at the end reading: “Expect the unexpected.”
I don’t think a movie could look any worse.
This essentially looks like the end result of Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve.
Looks like Lionsgate is piggybacking off the “famous actors united by a common theme” used for ‘New Year’s Eve’ and the puketastic “Valentine’s Day.”
Kill me now.
Can studios PLEASE stop giving no-name writers and directors such prominent single card vanity credits in trailers. I loved “Waking Ned Devine” and “Whip It” but these people are not famous names that general audiences will recognize.
Maybe you should start a petition Chris. Sounds like an issue millions of people will want to get behind.
Brooklyn Decker, my loins ache for thee.
Chris Rock, come on man. “We gotta do better…” (c) Charlie Murphy
I particularly enjoyed the part of the trailer that announced Cheryl Cole was making her cinematic debut with a small role in this film.
Truly she is the star that America needs and why did Simon blah-blah-blah-blah…….
No. One. Cares.
Is the trailer a joke? Come on, when is the real trailer getting released?
That was just awful, awful, awful.
Needs more Chris Rock.
Elizabeth Banks is the new Chelsea Handler.
I threw up in my mouth. Not a little, a lot. All these talented people in this?
All these actors need to stand next to the freeway with a sign that reads: Will Work For A Decent Script.
Joe Manganiello has basically become Hollywood’s torso-for-hire.
NOT THAT I’M COMPLAINING!
Burt Lancaster started that way!
I’m a total sucker for these movies. Looks like Bridesmaids meets Love Actually to me and I love Elizabeth Banks! I’m there.
#1. Brooklyn Decker just made me spill coffee all over my keyboard.
#2. I LOL’d when the “Big Poppa” came on. That was a yes. “Magical preg unicorn” was a yes too.
#3. (And this msg board is going to kill me here, I know, I know, and call me a plant, so whatever, fling the arrows.)
But to me, this doesn’t look anything like New Year’s or Valentine’s Day. I totally get why people hate on those movies (just like I get that it’s “cool” to hate on those movies) — but this looks like a raunch-com about pregnancy… I saw ZERO of the schmaltzy serendipity that makes up V-Day.
Instead, I see legit, widely adored / respected comedians like Rebel Wilson (ie, That Girl From Bridesmaids) and Chris Rock and Elizabeth Banks (30 Rock, anyone?) in a movie with big stars like Cameron, Quaid, J-Lo, etc.
Hating on a movie for being “ensemble” is like hating on a movie for being in “color” or being a “talkie.” Call me crazy but I LIKE seeing large casts filled with talented actors…
I guess I’m old fashioned.
Oooo this looks so cute! I love Elizabeth banks and joe manganiello shirtless – yes please!
V-Day opened to $55 million???
Yes, Lionsgate. You’re so stupid for putting out a movie based on a book that’s the Pregnant or To-Be Pregnant Woman’s *Bible* and stuffing it with brand-name stars. How could you. What a dumb business decision.
Satire aside, I *do* hope they have the goods. It looks like it could be funny. I’m intrigued. I like the Banks-y. I LOVE Chris Rock. More Chris Rock.
I think it’ll be hilarious – especially since so many women read ‘What to expect when you’re expecting’ when they’re pregnant. You go Elizabeth Banks!
“Send him to the dudes” lol! This looks hilarious
Also Frankie Goes To Hollywood, that song is epic.
This looks so cute! Definitely gonna check it out!
Chris Rock in a snuggly? I am so there. Awesome cast, it’s bound to be good.
Hysterical! I think this movie is going to be really funny. Love Elizabeth Banks (wow she is in everything right now). And who doesnt love JLo and Cameron Diaz.
Cant wait!
Haha Elizabeth Banks is great!
This looks like sooooooo much fun! Reminds me of when I was pregnant! Cannot wait to see this awesome cast rock their baby bumps
The dads are effing classic! If I’m a guy and I can appreciate a trailer about pregnancy than this movie has definitely got something good going for it!
