Neither of Lifetime’s freshman series will make it to a second season. Following the September cancellation of The Protector, Lifetime recently quietly opted not to renew Against the Wall. The cop/family drama, which drew largely positive reviews, premiered with soft 1.8 million viewers, on par with The Protector‘s 1.9 million. Neither series showed growth throughout their freshman run, leading to Lifetime’s decision not to go forward with either of them. In light of that, the network recently ordered 10 more episodes of veteran Army Wives to use as a launching pad for new shows, along with Drop Dead Diva. Lifetime has on tap The Client List, based on the successful movie, with Jennifer Love Hewitt reprising her role, as well as pilots Modern Love starring Eric Stoltz, American Housewife starring Melanie Griffith and movie/backdoor pilot Sworn To Secrecy starring Neve Campbell.

This is so stupid on Lifetime’s part. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show!!! I never missed a episode!!! I love Abby in the show… Lifetime you have surley made a mistake with this one!! This wasn’t just another cop show it had a great strong story behind it. It is way better than Drop Dead Diva, Army Wives, or Dance Moms ever wanted to be!!! Lifetime you need to get it together because you have just lost another viewer!!! Dont be stupid!!!
This show was the only reason I started to watch Lifetime again. I really started to hate their other shows. I guess it reruns on other channels again.
I hope that Lifetime reconsiders cancelling Against the Wall- my husband and I were big fans and it was so refreshing to see a family/police drama done so well!
I think that sometimes the stations do not give these newer shows a real chance to grow and evolve! Keep it on- you will not be sorry!
I too loved the Against The Wall Series & was looking forward to Season 2 & seeing who Abby picked. But I guess Duh…. we need more STUPID shows like Dance Moms instead. Can guarantee Lifetime that I will not be watching. Very disappointed in you Lifetime. I think you need to reconsider the decision “BIG TIME”!!!!!

After waiting so long I couldn’t handle it anymore I checked Lifetime to find Against the Wall had been cancelled. NOOOOOOOOO, I loved that show! At least Lifetime could do is finish airing the remaining segments that was filmed so we will know who she chose. At Least allow Ion or another rerun station have the segments so we ATW lovers can watch it.
I loved this show. I just was thinking of why it wasn’t back on air yet and was searching internet to find out it was cancelled. Thanks for letting us knowing. This was a great show, but yet you keep a show like dance moms on. What a joke.
Just want to say I didn’nt see enough of AGW to give an opinion but I loved Rachel on The Glades.
I know for the TV exec. 1.8 million viewers maybe low but consider this, it was the 1st season and that was pretty good. You had a very good story line with Abby and the adopted brother, why not continue with a 2nd season and check the ratings then. I am pretty sure your writes can make the show more interesting leading season #2 in with Abby’s prolonged choice of a mate that may or may not work, and the older brother possible having issues with the adoption and possible starting a relationship with Mackey. All scenerios will double, maybe even triple your viewership. Also advertise the time slot more. I think that was part of your problem, otherwise the show was very good.
I AM SO MAD…. I really loved this show! the cast was wonderful! if it got good reviews why did they cancel it! I am so sick of reality shows….this was really a refreshing show! Could of at least had a 2 hour episode to tie up all the ends! we don”t know what guy she picked…….I think we need to petition and bring it back! SO DISAPPOINTED! BRING IT BACK……..
I really hope Lifetime takes a good serious look at the responses to their cancellation of one of the best shows on television! Please bring this show back!! Everytime I find a good program and I start to get involved with it , it gets cancelled. I’m so angry that Against the Wall got cancelled! Who does Abbey choose!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree with you!! Just found out myself today that it was cancelled!! Hate it when stations cancel an awesome series with a cliff hanger!!! Grrrr I hope it was Brody as well!!!!
I can’t believe this show isn’t going to return! One of the best shows Lifetime has. I was an avid watcher. I can’t believe we won’t know who she picks!
Just looked to find out when the only good thing about the weekend being over was going to return, and see that Lifetime has cancelled ATW. I’ve been telling everyone all winter what a great show it is. So sad for such a great series. Maybe if we boycott Lifetime…

Please bring Against the Wall back. I have been waiting for this show to come back on. I hadn’t heard any thing about it on TV so I searched it on line. What a disappointment to find that it had been cancelled.
I never get into shows like this, but I found myself looking forward to each week. I LOVED against the wall and am so sad that it will not be renewed. I thought the actors did an excellent job and they really drew me into their characters and the show.
I’m very dissaopointed that against the wall won’t be returning to lifetime. I’m a mom of two and this is probably one of the very few shows I can watch and not feel guilty if mom daughter walks in from having a bad dream. It was sultry without being too vaulger. Wish that the producers would change their mind.
We loved that show! The main character was adorable and the plots were great. Kind of like Blue Bloods but without Tom Selleck. It’s a shame programs featuring Kim and Snookie would still be on and this is not coming back. Quality televison is gone, almost. We still have some good ones but this will be missed. Hope Lifetime reconsiders.
I actually enjoyed “Against the Wall”. Everytime I become interested in a show, it is cancelled. Why bother folowing anything on lifetime???? They never last!
i loved “against the wall”. i couldn’t wait until sunday,
anticipating the next episode. the characters, the acting,
the photography, the directing and the story were all
superb. i can now stop searching for it in the sunday
tv listings.
