Here’s Fox’s new one-sheet for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. Because Tom Rothman has made clear his feelings about what the movie is not, we’ll leave that alone for now. What do you think?

I like that they are for once keeping a tight lip on an event film and only slowly giving us glimpses into this film (my most anticipated of the next year), but it’s very clear the movie has more than 5% of its DNA in common. And for that, I’m thankful.
Really cool one-sheet and really uninspired copy.
Ridley Scott must know where the bodies are buried if he was able to keep Fox from putting the word ‘Alien’ on this poster.
So the aliens built Mt. Rushmore?
In _________________ No One Can Hear You Scream
…Easter Island?
…Planet of the Apes?
Well golly, it’s obviously a philosophical costume drama set in ancient Sumer.
I think it’s a brilliant one-sheet. Fox doesn’t have to put “Alien” on it – the dark colors and muted Giger imagery with Ridley Scott’s name say nothing but “Alien”. I think it’s a great way to push it without being too obvious. Besides, let’s be grateful and hope not one thinks it would be a great idea to have one of those posters with everyone’s faces on it.
SIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCK!
The most eagerly awaited film is not Batman! The most eagerly awaited film is not Hunger Games! The most eagerly awaited film is not a re-make of Dragoon Tattoo.
No Sir! It’s Sir Ridley’s return to Sci-Fi! Prometheus!
Any doubt about whether or not this is a prequel should probably be laid to rest after seeing Walter Hill’s name in the producer credits…
Aliens made Marlon Brando into a statue?
Pretty much the same type treatment as the original alien poster…
Everything about that screams EPIC. I have a feeling Prometheus will make Avatar look like a dumb chick flick. (Not that Rothman will be complaining, both potential franchises are gravy for Fox).
Great looking poster! Excited.
Love the director but this is terribly boring.
Generally speaking, I don’t care for copy lines that lead to my end.
