CAPRI, Italy, December 16, 2011 – One of the year’s most highly acclaimed films, “The Artist” the multi Golden Globe nominee directed by Michel Hazanavicius, will receive the 2011 Film of the Year Award from Capri, Hollywood – The International Film Festival. Lina Wertmuller, honorary chairperson of the Festival, will present the award on December 30th to the French director, who is a leading Oscar and Golden Globe contender according to journalists and awards pundits around the world. Both Hazanavicius and the film’s female lead, Bérénice Bejo, who will receive the Festival’s Best Actress Award, will attend the ceremonies. Michael Fassbender will receive the Best Actor Award for Shame.
