Attending a movie on Christmas Day is becoming more and more of a tradition for U.S. moviegoers, so MovieTickets.com conducted a week-long survey to predict which release will get the most holiday attention this year, asking the question: Which movie will you be seeing over the Christmas holiday weekend?
Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol (Paramount) – 26.8%
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Sony) – 26%
War Horse (DreamWorks/Disney) – 18.8%
We Bought A Zoo (Fox) – 13.2%
The Adventures Of Tintin (Paramount)– 11.9%
The Darkest Hour (Summit) – 3.3%

MI4 was great. If you can, check it out on IMAX.
yet again, the Scientologists are rigging another poll
Or the movie looks awesome, got great reviews, and has terrific word of mouth…
Exactly. And the international BO bears it out. TC is a huge star. Maybe the biggest.
I’ve seen 4 of the 6 listed (Zoo and Darkest Hour I haven’t) and M:I4 is definitely the best of the bunch.
At this point, only War Horse looks remotely tempting. I’ll take a pass on the others.
SNL spoofed WAR HORSE, it went over my head because I never saw the play. Anyway, I plan on watching WAR HORSE.
I still don’t understand why Summit is releasing TDH at Xmas. You can say counter programming but then again Xmas already has counter programming in that giant film called GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO.
What the poll really needed was “none of the above”.
I’ll be going with my dad and son to see Mission Impossible.
I completely agree and iMax is the way to go since many shots were made with IMAX cameras. Wall to wall action, can’t wait to see it again
IM4 and New Years Eve. Maybe the latter twice, once with my husband and once with my mom when I go back home.
Mission Impossible is one of the best “adventure” spy movies in a long time. Harkens back to the cold war type movies, easily blows away the last 2 (not hard to do) and tops the first one in terms of story accessiblity.
It’s pure fun. See it on Imax… so worth it. Especially the dust storm scene.
It’s really hard to find locatons in the world that haven’t been done. Mission Impossible does that and even takes stuff that has been and makes it feel fresh. The access they got to the Kremlin and Russian alone is worth seeing this on the big screen. Loved it! And loved that they cast Josh Holloway from Lost. He needs to be in more movies. Such a star.
