ABC has given out 3 more pilot orders to comedy projects, How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, from Accidentally on Purpose creator Claudia Lonow; untitled buddy comedy from feature writer Adam Sztykiel (Due Date, Made of Honor); and And Only Fools And Horses, from Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley.
How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, a multi-camera/hybrid comedy produced by 20th Century Fox TV and studio-based Imagine Television, is in the mold of another 20th TV comedy, How I Met Your Mother – a multi-camera comedy that is shot without live audience and features more scenes than a regular sitcom — had a put pilot commitment. Based on Lonow’s own life, How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, which can certainly vie for the longest series title crown, is described as an outrageous comedy with lots of heart. It centers on Polly, a recently divorced, single mom, who moves in with her eccentric parents, Elaine and Max, a couple who’s full of life but knows no boundaries.
This is the second pilot order for Lonow, who also has multi-camera comedy Counter Culture at ABC, written and executive produced by writer-actress Stephnie Weir and executive produced by Lonow.
The untitled Adam Sztykiel project, also from 20th TV, has received a showrunner-contingent order. Based on Sztykiel’s own experiences in a long-distance relationship, the show follows a group of 24-year-old guys who move to a new city, one of them choosing to stay in relationship even though his girlfriend is now 2,000 miles away. It is described as a raw, hilarious peek behind the curtain of modern 20-something relationships. In addition to writing, Sztykiel is executive producing with Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone of Kaplan-Perrone.
Cragg and Bradley’s multi-camera And Only Fools And Horses, from ABC Studios, is based on the British format. It follows the misadventures of two streetwise brothers who scrape by selling unreliable goods believing that at any moment they could become millionaires.

I wish ABC would go back to their roots and order a comedy about a non white family like Mu Wife and Kuds or George Lopez or ugly betty. Need way more diversity
Also why not a family comedy from a same sex couple. Everything is white and straight
Uh HELLO, does Modern Family ring a bell? That’s a family comedy but with a same sex couple. The only thing is that they’re white but I have to go against what you said. Everything on network tv these days is same sex for some reason. Gays and Lesbians don’t make up that big of a percent of the population. I’d rather see more diversity like you said in race
Everything Sztykiel writes is cringe worthy
Cragg and Bradley are a class act. They are due a hit. Let’s hope this one sticks.
Yay for Claudia!!
Looks like a great season for male actors
Whoa! Claudia Lonow is REALLY pretty!
It is like the diversity police stalk every post to blast any project with white people or men in it. It is ridiculous.
Modern Family is terribly white bread and moderate. Sure there are gays and a hispanic actress, but their so bourgeois, middle class, embarrassing. Their a punchline most of the time.
The idea that something is simultaneously bougeois and middle-class is hilariously self-contradictory.
So, in your mind, a show should ONLY be about low-income working class? I know you think Modern Family is about rich people, but that’s only because it takes place in LA. If it took place in Oklahoma, those houses would be worth $200k instead of $2M. Hardly “bourgeois.”
Oh, and it’s “they’re.”
I see you, Diana Fairgate! Claudia Lonow sure has come a long way since her Knots Landing days! Good for her.
10% of population is the gay figure. I’d say its really still not quite that accurate. It’s good to see diversity of class though. Usually Americans have major issue w portraying class struggle. Racial diversity is needed in comedy tho – especially for leads.
Cragg and Bradley are great. I worked with them. You could say they shot an arrow into the playground of my heart.
Only fools and horses!!!! wow this will be interesting, and i hope it works out for these guys, but the show at its best and peak was from the mid to late 80′s, how this will relate to today time will tell (granted we are in recession time now). has this not had numerous us rebots in the past?
Lovely Jubley!!!!
The dictionary definition of bourgeois IS “middle class”, so where is the contradiction?
