Good news for Last Man Standing — the freshman ABC comedy has received an order for 2 extra episodes, bringing the total for the show’s first season to 24 episodes. While not a breakout hit of the size of CBS’ 2 Broke Girls and Fox’s New Girl, the multi-camera sitcom starring veteran Tim Allen has been a solid performer and was able to open a second comedy night for ABC on Tuesdays. In its most recent airing, Last Man Standing drew a 2.1/6 among adults 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers in Live+Same Day.

Gotta say, this show got a lot better.
Funny show. Congrats to ABC, Marty & Shawn.
You’ll want to revise that breakout hit notation about FOX’s New Girl following the latest ratings. New Girl’s ratings have gone the way of Glee’s- straight into the toilet. While demo is still decent, total viewers aren’t much. Demo will soon follow suit just like Glee. But ABC’s problem is all their own creation. LMS can hold it’s own on Tuesday but it needs a companion hit soon instead of the steady stream of garbage the new programmer has put behind it. It’s the garbage between 8:30 and 10 that kills ABC’s entire lineup. I’m not impressed with the new guy, Paul Lee. ABC still has all the old holes it had when McPherson was in charge and honestly it appears things are going to get worse. LMS should have been in the 8:30 Wednesday slot, with Cougartown in the 9:30 slot. That would have given ABC a killer Wednesday night block. Tuesdays need to be rebuilt and I hate to be the bearer of news that should know by now. But, ABC is in DIRE need of men in their sitcoms, procedurals, and dramas. You know why CBS routinely kicks everybody elses butts each week. They don’t run 3hrs, 7dys a week of homosexual, drag queen, pedophilia tinged sitcoms and dramas. Granted Monday nights on CBS are disgusting and I’ll never watch any of that crap again but Tuesday through Sunday, CBS is trump tight.
Please, Marc5. Teach all of us how to be real men. What else can we do besides watch CBS?
Enjoy this show very much. Please don’t turn viewers off by having that “Bussom Buddies” show anywhere near it.
More Molly Ephraim.
