CBS This Morning, which launched its new format today with anchors Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Erica Hill, also announced that Lee Woodruff has been hired as a contributor to the show. She is the wife of ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff, who survived after suffering critical injuries during a roadside bombing while on assignment in Iraq in 2006. The pair wrote the 2007 bestseller In An Instant, about their family’s recovery in the aftermath of the incident; the freelance writer penned another book in 2009, and her first novel is due out in September. She also is a longtime PR and marketing consultant who was an executive at Porter Novelli and Hill & Knowlton. Lee Woodruff joined ABC’s Good Morning America in 2007 as a contributor, reporting on home- and family-related topics.
