CBS has given a pilot green light to Super Fun Night, a multi-camera comedy pilot written by and starring Australian actress-comedian Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids). The project, from Warner Bros TV and Conan O’Brien’s studio-based Conaco banner, follows three nerdy female friends on their ”funcomfortable” quest to have super fun every Friday night. O’Brien, Jeff Ross and David Kissinger are executive producing, with Wilson co-executive producing.
Despite CBS’ comedy brand being built on multi-camera sitcoms, Super Fun Night is the network’s first multi-camera comedy pilot this season. CBS’ first two half-hour pilot orders went to single-camera projects, both from feature writer-directors: Jon Favreau’s Tweaked and an untitled Nick Stoller project.

OMG! LOVE Rebel! She’s hilarious. Bogan Pride!
I LOVE Rebel Wilson!!! I hope this gets picked up.
Clever concept; hope it works!!
They should figure out how to do some kind of international thriller. Maybe something centered around biological WMD. Every time they do a show about something else, they’re squandering what makes them unique.
I’ve seen Edi when she was in groundlings. I was wondering when I would see her again. She’s a freakin hoot! Already a fan…hope it gets picked up!
Wow, very much looking forward to this.
This is wicked genius. So pumped.
Just curious, because it’s kind of important- jesus god will there be a laugh track? Multi-camera is fine by me, it’s tried and true and wins awards and people (CBS) are comfortable with it.
Conan and Ms. Wilson are both smart comedians so it will be crazamazing.. unless everything gets too drowned out by a laugh track. Then, sadness.
Maybe it’ll be okay, though.
