• Will this affect the already reduced episode order and perhaps increase it if it performs in the slot, I wonder.

• It’s an incredibley odd pairing of shows. How does the audience of the former lend itself to the audience of the latter? Bad for business.

  “Last Man Standing” is ostensibley a family show. It courts an audience looking for family entertainment and familiar comforts. ABC keeps tossing out crass and cynical stuff in the slot following LMS and they continue to flop. They need to pair it with something that has similar sensibility if they want to strengthen the hour and actually build the night.

  Cougar Town would fare better following Modern Family that it would in this slot.

  • Francis, I thoroughly agree. They were going a MAN night to counter along with Family Night on Wednesdays, BUT I think something akin to THE MIDDLE would work for Last Man Standing. I don’t the THE B in Apt 23 would be any help, if it all COUGAR TOWN and THE B would go better together.

• This feels like a burn off. I love the show, but “Cougar Town” did not do well behind “Modern Family” for an entire season. It’s not going to do any better behind “LMS.”

• For you Cougar Town fans out there, just be happy the show is back on the air soon and the more eyeballs that watch this show, it might get a chance at another full season in May.
