EXCLUSIVE: In her first series regular role in more than a decade, Cybill Shepherd has closed a deal to co-star opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt in Lifetime’s upcoming drama series The Client List. Based on the network’s 2010 original movie, the Sony TV-produced series stars Hewitt as Riley, a Texas housewife who, after being deserted by her husband, ends up running a massage parlor, The Rub, which offers more than back rubs. Shepherd will play Riley’s mother Lynette, reprising her role from the movie, where the character was named Cassie. This marks Shepherd’s first series regular role since her 1995 sitcom Cybill created by Chuck Lorre. She recently recurred on USA’s Psych, Showtime’s The L Word and ABC’s Eastwick. Shepherd is with Buchwald/Fortitude and the Hofflund Co.

BIGGEST MISTAKE SHE HAS MADE!
Genuinely curious: anyone know the rationale in changing the name of the character?
I hope for Cybill’s sake that the photo above was photoshopped like crazy and she hasn’t had some kind of Roger Ebert surgery that wiped out half her face because she barely looks human in that photo.
Quite frankly, I’m surprised she’s willing to play second fiddle to the talentless annoyingly girlish Jennifer Love Hewitt but I suppose Cybill has bills to pay. Lord knows three of her four kids don’t work for a living.
She behaved like a total ass on her own show. Was hated by the entire cast and crew. I mean hated like I’ve never seen on any show. Good luck to anyone who works with this pig of a woman. Oink Oink Oink! She deserves to be repped by Fortitude!
She’s crazy, lazy, marginally talented, can barely walk and talk at the same time. Sympathies to the cast and crew of this ill-conceived mess.
