EXCLUSIVE: Piper Perabo will star opposite Billy Bob Thorton, James Marsden and Thomas Jane in director David Hackl’s thriller Red Machine. She will play a deaf photographer who is engaged to Beckett (Jane), whom she met during the Iraq War. The story revolves around two estranged brothers (Jane, Marsden) and their girlfriends (Perabo and an actress yet to be cast) who go camping in the Alaskan wilderness. An erratic grizzly relentlessly stalks the two couples, who are forced to rely on their own senses and skills to survive. Rick Cleveland and J.R. Reher wrote Red Machine, which Tai Duncan, Dominic Ianno, Stuart Pollack, Hadeel Reda, Paul Schiff, and David Valleau will produce. Shooting begins this month in Vancouver. TMT Entertainment Group and UTA rep Perabo.

The Grey meets Couple’s Retreat.
So “The Edge” but with couples and they go camping instead. Yawn.
What one man can do, er, what one writer can do… another can do.
I have a script about an oil drilling team and two couples camping in a remote part of Alaska that are stalked by an ill-tempered moose who knows their secrets.
Wow Billy Bob has hit bottom with this one. Sounds like Netflix will be the the only place to see this one. What happened to his career? Nothing interesting since MONSTERS BALL! Sad, sad, sad. Time to go back to you old Management Team perhaps.
Piper Perabo is so cute and charming. While channel surfing the other day, I caught her in Cheaper By The Dozen again. She was so luminous and funny.
Being relentlessly perky might be her only plus; she’s a horrible actress.
she is one of the very worst actresses i have seen. in her USA series, she smiles throughout every scene, with hardly a pause to rest her hard-working jaw.
I am a HUGE James Marsden fan. I can’t wait to see this movie now. I wonder who the other female actress is. This is a GREAT cast!!!
Great Cast! I will go and see this movie. Marsden=yum!
Do these people know that they just signed on to star in a movie directed by the same guy that directed Saw V, the worst in an already bad series of films?
Shhhhh….it’s a surprise.
Piper on the big screen finally, YEA!
I am sad to learn that Piper is performing a character who is deaf according to the synopsis of “Red Machine”. I believe she is not deaf in real life so I can see she will be horrible in interpreting the deaf character and giving it a one dimensional and a false portrayal. What’s wrong with the pool of talented deaf actors ready to work? Did the producer give the deaf actors opportunity for audition? Look at “Tribes” that’s running at the Burrow Tehatre in NYC which has been receiving the rave reviews because in it there s a wonderful actor who is deaf perform the deaf sibling in the family. It is successful because of honest and authentic portrayal of the deaf character! So my thumb is DOWN!
Billy Bob Thornton is a superb actor. A Simple Plan and Pushing Tin are two of his utter best.
Watch “Covert Affairs” for 5 minutes, try not laughing hysterically at the horrid “acting”. Its so bad its funny.
