UPDATE: Jalopnik is reporting it’s for Honda, likely the CRV.

You can tell John Hughes is dead because this is happening.
“Mmm-bow-bow-chicka-chicka-I-Cannnot-Believe-I-Am-This-Old…”
Ferris Bueller The Musical.
It’s a commercial, not a sequel, calm down.
It’s going to be a cheesy ad for the same hotel chain that brought us the Griswolds (Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo) last year.
If I could only remember what chain that was for….
Actually, it’s a car commercial.
Honda.
Like it or not this is genius already.
It’s incredible the way Broderick morphs into Ferris Bueller with just some facial expressions and the way he moves.
Les jeux sont faits. Translation…the game is up. Your ass is mine!
@Lytton–
Not true… John had developed a sequel to Ferris when they did a tribute to him at the New Bev. It was Broderick who wanted nothing to do with it according to the cast that was there.
Rumor says it’s a Honda advert.
If Ferris is making an ad is it really a day off?
I don’t care how bad the remake is, I would go see it three times. And can you imagine the epic Charlie Sheen cameo would be?
A now grown-up Ferris Bueller movie would be a lot of fun if written very very very well.
oh, really? if it was written very very very well?
what if it was only very very well?
ANYTHING could be fun if “written well”, by definition!
Why on earth would you want to see a remake of a classic film that has lost not one ounce of hipness humor or charm in 25 years? You’re part of the infection that’s destroying hollywood.
FERRIS BUELLER in 3D!!!!!, although I’m still more excited about the Star Wars dogs.
Hondas, which makes sense with the joyriding valet scene. ho hum.
No wonder Hughes hated Hollywood.
It’s “Ferris Bueller’s Off Day”!
LOVE IT. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Put a bright spot in my day. The rest of you can….
It’s too bad they only show an interior. They filmed exterior shots in Beverly Hills.
